    These are not cheap!

    • Written by German C from Mesquite

I keep reading reviews about the cables being cheap and not establishing a good connection on certain devices. I know from experience that is not always the cable that has flaws. I own an SE that I've had for several years, one day it stopped charging out of nowhere, my wife then decided to get me a 6 to help me upgrade, when I got my new phone I wasn't getting cellular signal on it so I took it to apple to find out the problem, turns out they couldn't do anything because she had bought it refurbished at Walmart BUT they did take a look at my SE (the one that had a charging issue to begin with). Guy that helped me out said my SE was fine except it had a massive ball of pocket lint, hair and dust inside the charging port that had been getting lodged in there for years until the point where the cable couldn't do a successful contact with the port, he took a thin metal tool from his pocket and removed all the stuff inside the port, voila, phone was back to normal. I still use the same cable that came with the phone and I know for a fact this phone is at least 4 years old and so is the cable. Guys check your phone's charging port for any pocket lint or excessive accumulation of dust, that might actually be the reason the phone is not being charged and not the cable itself.

I've never had a problem with any Apple charging cable. What do you people do to these things ?

    Hot Spot

    • Written by Teresa S from Longview

The Apple charger is the only cable that I have ever had that works correctly attached to my lap top so that I can use the hot spot to access the internet. I’ve used cheaper brands that supposedly have the chip, but there was always some type of problem with the cheaper brands while trying to use the charging cable attached to my lap top. It’s sad that Apple charges so much for a product that is not even durable enough to last more than 6 months with everyday use. I had to give 5 stars for performance, but if I could rate its durability it would have been 1 star.

This charger will not die !!

    • Written by Domenic C from Newtown Square

I got this charger when I purchased my 5c. So, almost 5 years ago! I got a new charger when I got a new phone (two years ago) and was going to use this one as a spare. I ended up putting the old one in my car “temporarily” until I could get another one. However, this charger never stopped working! It has taken a beating for sure but, it’s the best charger I’ve ever had. I recommend it 100%. I won’t buy from anywhere else!

    Charging Cable

    • Written by Austin B from Kingsport

I haven't had any trouble with this cable, I'm not sure about all the bad reviews I still have the original charging cable for my iPhone 7 plus that I bought last year in May, it will be a year old soon and it continues to work just fine with no problems! 10/10

    Why So Many Bad Reviews?

    • Written by Jessica E from Lockport

I'm really not sure what the fuss is about. Shortly after getting my first iPhone (I switched over from Samsung to the 7 Plus), my aunt's cat ate my charging cable. I'm still using that same cable because it works just fine. There are literally punctures all over it and you can see the wires. In hindsight, I should probably just replace the cable for safety reasons, but my point is that the cable was eaten by a cat and it still works. Also, I have not experienced any fraying at the ends of this cable, or any of my Apple cables, as others have complained about.

    Never ever had problems

I personally have never ever had problems with these cables. Just make sure you pull at the plastic not the cable it self.

Of course Apple products aren't perfect, but if your cable fails...

    • Written by James P from Oakland

    It's probably your fault.

I don't know what kind of terrible treatment people are exacting on their lightning cables (USB-C & USB-A), but I've literally NEVER had the jacket that binds the cable to either connector tear or even remotely deteriorate. Stop wrapping your cables so tightly! They aren't meant to be wound like the coils in an electric motor. You're not trying to create a rail gun. Recognize the cables are somewhat stiff and take that into consideration when you pack them into your bags, purses or backpacks. I guarantee you they'll last you a decade if you act like you care about maintaining the product.

    Charger works great

    • Written by Lauren G from Sewell

This charger works exactly how it's supposed to. Don't listen to the other reviews who say that it doesn't. If you handle the charger properly and take care of it, it will last you for months. Definitely worth the money. Highly recommend it, I'm very pleased with it.

Original Wire from Box Still Works

    • Written by Dan L from Flushing

Don't know why other people wires are breaking. Mine still work since I bought the SE back in May 2016. 28-months track record and still no signs of breakage.

    Favorite cable ever

    • Written by Ben H from York

Disregard all these bad reviews if you are actually careful with stuff. Everyone says they fall apart are tear, but that's NEVER happened to me. Just don't bend the cable up and fold it over. It's not that hard.
These cables not only look great but work great too. I still have and use cables from like 2012, they really do hold up.

    Great Cable

    • Written by Timothy C from Green Bay

Read the reviews and was leery of it's quality until I saw some pictures of the damaged cables. The wire was pulled out of the plug, that told me that the user was pulling on the cable and not on the plug when removing it from the phone or the usb port. If you pull by the plug and not the cable you won't have any problems. I recharge almost daily and have had no problems. Like I said, great cable.
