I got these late January and they completely died by the end of February! These do NOT work if you workout with them. The second I got sweaty in my workout the controls didn’t work. The volume would go all the way up and down by itself, the songs would skip by itself, and I couldn’t turn it off because all the buttons/controls on it wouldn’t turn off. The cord was also really long which I didn’t particularly like. When these worked for the first couple weeks I really liked them because the sound quality was great. If you are just using these for school, running errands, etc. these are the headphones for you. If you’re trying to hit the gym with these I would keep searching.

I bought one pair for myself and one for my spouse. We both love these head phones. We mainly use them for working out. The sound is great and the earbuds stay in your ear during an intense run. Battery life is amazing. Price is great. I would highly recommend these.

    Great for school!

I bought these with school in mind, and my initial impressions was that they sounded horrible. A very shallow sound, and they had an interference problem on my iPod nano. Even when connected to a new apple device, they were still pretty mediocre. But once I messed around with them, I found a solution to both of these problems. First, once you get the right fit, they sound incredible. I assumed I needed the small ear tips, but that makes them sound shallow, so I used a larger pair, and that fixed the problem. Now they sound very detailed, especially in the high end, which is hard to say about beats products. With the interference problem, the solution I found was that you had to turn them on, connect them, but then turn them off, back on, and reconnect. This is a problem Beats should address in the future, but I'm happy I found the solution. In my math class(where I get to listen to music while working), they are great, and they isolate noise pretty well(although maybe not the best feature for a math class ;) ).Battery life lasts way longer then I need them to, and I love the way they go around your neck. Awesome headphones made by Beats and Apple! My only issue with them now, is that on IOS devices, the sound automatically goes down when you select a new track, although I think this is a problem with all bluetooth headphones. Once that problem is addressed, I will probably give it a 5 star rating. 4 stars for now, but I would make it 4 and a half if I could!

Great Sound; Doesn't Work in Cold

I bought these for my husband for Christmas. He LOVES them. Great sound, love how they magnetically clasp together when resting on his chest out of his ears. However, he uses these for running and when he goes on his runs outside in cold temperatures (15-20 degrees cold), they stop working in the middle of the run due to the cold. For what I paid for these headphones, you would think they could handle cold temperature conditions better. They work perfectly fine when he runs outside in 30-40 degree weather. Other than that, great product.

You *must* get them fitted correctly for the best sound!

People complaining that these have poor sound are just not getting them fitted properly — they need to make a tight seal against the ear-canal in order for them to work correctly. They are a *closed* system — not open like AirPods. If you can hear background noises, like a fan across the room for example, then you do *not* have a proper seal and the sound will suffer!!

Definitely try *all* the ear-tips they provide, if you’re experiencing poor bass and muddy sound.

I could not *believe* how much better these things sounded once I got a proper seal! I was very disappointed with the sound at first... But I had heard that a proper seal was important, so I kept trying different ear-tips — and I was *blown away* by the quality of the sound, once I got ‘em sealed up properly! Seriously! It was a *huge* difference!!

    Clear and reliable sound.

These headphones deliver clear and reliable sound when it comes to music and calling. I have not tried it when it comes to working out, however, I wouldn't recommend it. The only "bad" thing about these, per se, is that the built in Mic does not need to be touching the collar as it COULD cause potential feedback issues. The Mic needs to be exposed for it in order to prevent the feedback.

Sound does not get interrupted when you're doing chores around the house or moving constantly. It syncs very well with my iPhone and iPad, HOWEVER, in order to do shift around devices, you need to push the button (on the side of the Mic) and sync it to the Apple device you want, as opposed to the AirPods that Sync automatically without any problems to any device.

Other than that, these are the way to go when it comes to a wireless headphone option (affordable) that works well with any Apple Product.

The color is not really gold... it's more of a rose gold, I suppose. Actually it matches the sweatshirt I'm wearing that's pink.

I want to love them, but.........

The earphones fit snug and secure, great sound quality, easy pairing with other Apple devices, microphone sound quality is very good the only problem I have is with the power switch. The switch fails and I am unable to power the earphones on. I am on my second pair of BeatsX Earphones since February of this year and my current pair developed the same power switch problem. Apple was good about giving me a replacement, (refurbished), pair but after 4 months they are out of service. Let's hope the third time does the trick. These are not inexpensive so it is disappointing that the quality of the hardware is so poor.

The fit of these is terrible. They do not fit in my ear. The cord is excessively long. I might as well just use a regular corded headphone. They are not noise canceling. Basically all hype with name and a failure to actually deliver in quality.

I'm on my third pair--keep failing

The sound keeps failing and they keep turning down the volume on their own. I thought it was due to my iPhone but the same thing is happening when I connect them using bluetooth to my Mac computer. They will play for a minute and then moderately quickly the volume drops off to nothing.

I think this is a software issue or perhaps they really aren't compatible with exercise, which is why I purchased them. Other than this quitting issue, the sound quality is great; but, this issue is really frustrating.

Will take back to Best Buy AGAIN and get another pair.

Worse that the past Solo Beats

I’ve had these headphones for 2 weeks and I️ have taken good care of them, all though I️ use them daily. This still isn’t a reason for such poor quality. It’s been 2 weeks and the right headphone is already failing. Sometimes it plays sound but then it just dies again. Super disappointed.

    Pretty good

My main use of the BeatsX earphones is for phone calls. The sound clarity for calls is fine but there were two problems. First, with both earbuds in place, the microphone dragged on my shirt collar creating lots of noise for me and the other folks on the phone. This was resolved by taking out the earbud with the microphone out of my ear and letting it dangle on my shirt. That stopped the contact with the shirt collar and calls are excellent. Second, it took a while to find a comfortable combination of earbuds. On the fourth try, a combination that included the external ear piece worked.

I also listen to podcasts which sound great using both earbuds.

    Great sound and battery life

These earbuds are now about two weeks old - and I love them. The sound is exactly what you'd expect from Beats, and the earbud size options help to improve the quality as well. They charge quickly and last a long time. My favorite part is the magnetic earbuds - they stay securely around your neck and reduce tangling.

Just got them today and I’ve used them for about 3 hours and the battery is great and I love the packaging it provides a cute silicone case and bud adapters to fit perfectly. The only thing is the cable is too long I expected it to be shorter but I love the color it’s not rose gold. It’s gold with a hint of peach just prefect.
