    Alien ears have rights too!!!

    • Written by Ruben Q from Montclair

I was so excited to buy my AirPods, the purchasing was easy along with the pick up.I grabbed them and connected them to my phone on the train with a breeze. Whoever is in charge of the connectivity and performance did a phenomenal job, let's not forget the looks and the functionality of this product as for any Apple product is always "on point".

I wish I could give it 5 stars but on my way home I have had to adjust my AirPods so many times, until it slipped out of my ear and chipped less than an hour after paying for them. I guess I'm one of those "alien ears" I keep reading about. One size fits all is not working! It would be great if the case was made bigger to fit approved attachments to allow adapters to fit people with bigger ears. This would be a simple adjustment that would open the market to everyone at a low cost to Apple, I wish I can use my AirPods like everyone else.

If you are thinking about buying them make sure to test with the earphones that come with your iPhone, if those don't fit you will not be happy with AirPods. :(

Stylish design but poor fit and average sound quality

    • Written by Elias A from New Hyde Park

This was my first Airpods purchase, and I desperately wanted to like these earbuds, but am instead somewhat disappointed. The good is that the Airpods are stylish and unique in design. They come in a small case which is extremely convenient. The wireless charging case is a welcome addition, as it avoids the need to find a lightning cable. However, wireless charging takes many hours and best done overnight. The Airpods pair seamlessly with my iPhone and iPad, and it's nifty that the music is paused once I remove an Airpod from my ears. However, I found the sound quality disappointing. The bass was excellent but the high frequency sounds were very muffled compared to the Beats X. I tried to adjust the treble via the EQ feature in Music settings, but to no avail. The Airpods fit my ears properly, but I found the hard plastic quite uncomfortable after only a short period of time. I hope the upcoming true wireless Powerbeats will address these shortcomings.

Better if you don't already have AirPods gen 1

    • Written by Thomas B from MILPITAS

I bought 2 of these to replace our first gen AirPods and honestly the biggest difference is being able to wirelessly charge the headphones. I don't notice any major improvement in sound or design and they still have not come out with any additional colors which was a disappointment. The. battery life is slightly better and being able to use Siri is nice however you have to have "hey Siri" enabled on every device you use the AirPods with which is slightly annoying because we have home pods at home and now saying "hey Siri" will cause multiple devices to turn on...

Overall I do not recommend buying these if you have first get AirPods that aren't too old, there isn't enough of a change to warrant another $200 price tag, better off upgrading your phone or another device.

    Good but Disappointed in Apple

    • Written by Mitchell V from Metamora

Connection to iPhone is awesome. Sound quality is solid. One size fits all approach is uncomfortable for me. Very disappointed I spent extra fornwireless charging expecting the Apple charging mat that would charge my phone, watch, and these. Very questionable leadership at Apple to wait until several days after AirPod launch to announce cancellation of AirPower.

    Over Priced

    • Written by James G from North Hills

I love them when they work. However that's only half the time. They disconnect often now. And too f****** often only one airpod will be connected and its impossible to get the other airpod connected which is the worst. Totally wastes time trying to messing around with these instead of having headphones that actually work.

i actually love my airpods when they actually connect to my phone, it is extremely frustrating that i constantly have to reconnect them to my phone or wait forever for them to connect. they have great sound and are a great concept i just wish they would connect better and quicker - it’s kinda inconvenient for them to never connect when i need them to.

    Not bad, not great

    • Written by Julius A from Rego Park

These are technology wonders, but if you want them for music make another choice. They are merely adequate for true music listening. Not worth the exorbitant cost. I returned them.

    Why Apple....Why?

    • Written by William E from North Richland Hills

    What I like:
-Connects to iPhone easily (can’t tell it’s faster than the previous version)

    What I don’t like:
-Sometimes I want just one earbud in and for some reason this model seems to be having more trouble doing so. It will just disconnect both randomly.
-Maybe just me but it doesn’t fit perfectly in my ears so if I’m laying down or working out I need these hook ear pieces attached. Not a con for everyone.
-“Hey Siri”feature still doesn’t work for me, maybe user error but she can’t hear me
-Sound quality is the same as before.

Worth it if they fit your ear and you like wireless charging. They are not better than the previous version in my book.

    Good for music... thats it

    • Written by Vencent S from Flushing

With the updated airpods that feature the H1 chip, the benefits that surround calling are completely overshadowed by the poor quality of the mic and horrible pick up, as expected when rocking these on your ears instead of your mouth. its very disappointing on how limited you are with apple's double tap feature. Hey Siri was nice, although i find myself using that feature just to make sure i have the updated airpods.

the potential is there, but apple seems to want to unlock little bits and pieces over time so a public can "see" their improvements instead of just releasing AirPods with all its potential in place.

overall this has no wires and very easy to carry around, no tangled cables. and no more broken cables that render the head phones useless either.

along with its exceptional hearing quality. this gets a 3 star

    A screaming, Unpleasant sound

    • Written by Evelynn D from Floral city

I was loving them at first and there’s no problem At all about how loud they get, the bass or the size. I used to never use any headphones from apple because the ones with the cord always allowed others to hear your music which doesn’t work while In school. I also couldn’t think of how people would clean them, but I found out it’s either a pencil or have disgusting ear wax clutter up over the months, i don’t know about other people but I clean my ears daily and they still get dirty. Soon or later I finally decided to give AirPods a try, I do love them more than any other headphones I’ve tried even beats. But I wish apple would make some tool that cleans them and doesn’t color them with led. My other issue occurring, which to me was bigger is I’ll be listening to music and I don’t use them very often but it happened to be the two times I was using both AirPods on volume 12, a LOUD static was screaming in my ears. I have read the reviews that are less than 5 stars and haven’t come across anyone else having this problem so I will take it as I bought a default from apple and it was just a bad batch but I put them in to hear my music not to kill my ear drums. This is completely on apple and they should have sent me a new pair but of course they’re not focused on the consumers just finances. Until apple comes out with reliable sound quality and a way to clear the earbuds & the charging case I don’t plan on purchasing from them again.

    Great Specs, Bad Plastic Quality

    • Written by Hadi K from Clemmons

Every feature about AirPods is amazing except that long distance connectivity doesn't work as well.

About the Carbon Fiber plastic on the case and the AirPods themselves, I believe that they were poorly designed because they could easily get scratched. What happened with my AirPods is that 5 days after I got them, I dropped one pod in my car, picked it up and there was already a dent on it. Similarly my case had a dent on it too!
With this in mind, I checked my EarPods that I've been using for 2 years and it had less of a dent.

So the fact the Apple is using worse quality material year after year obliged me to give a 3 star rating

Even though I returned my AirPods I'm planning to buy new ones again because they work absolutely fine concerning inside features. But I learned my lesson and I'm going to buy a case this time!!

I was excited to get the Airpods. It connected quickly and effortlessly! I have no problem of them staying on my ears. The Hey Siri works good, Siri had trouble understanding what I am saying some times though...The sound...humm...okay...It is not very clear, compare to a wired headphone..or was it normal to be not as clear as a headphone?? Also, on the right ear outside casing on the Airpod, I can see clear line on casing. does not seems to be a very tight enclosure. The left one is good. I was expecting great quality earphone. I am disappointed.

AirPods have become very popular, so I decided to get a pair. They are so much easier to use than non-wireless earbuds. They connect easily and have good sound quality however, do NOT stay in your ears. I have had my AirPods for four days and have already lost an AirPod after barley touching it. I was in the middle of the lake on a boat and tucked my hair behind my ear (barley touching the AirPod ) and then it flew out of the boat. Now I have to go buy new ones. If you lose your AirPods and want to use the “find my iPhone” app to find your AirPods, it will not work if both of your AirPods are not in the case. I tried it and it only told me where the airpod in the case was, not the one in the middle of the lake. It probably doesn’t work because they are not water proof. I honestly think apple doesn’t do anything about this situation because this is the number one problem people have, that makes them have to go get new ones, witch gives apple more money.
