Premium brand but less than normal quality.

    • Written by CM T

I had a bad experience with BeatX earphone. Less than one year after i bought the product, the earphone cannot be charged and therefore deemed useless. As the earphone’s warranty has expired (@ 13th month) at the time i sent it for a repair or replacement, i was simply told that no replacement can be given. On the other hand, I have been using other similar premium product for a number of years and it is still in perfect condition and thus lives up to its reputation. Too bad that it is now a Apple’s company which i have been a loyal customer of Apple products for almost 10 years. i think it's time to try other reliable brand instead of Beats. I would also consider switching to other platform instead of sticking with Apple’s IOS. Frustrated BeatsX owner.

Broke after a year and a half

    • Written by Kylan K

Worked pretty well until I started experiencing random shutdowns and the white light of death. Do not recommend whatsoever, was told by Apple support that this was a manufacturing error, not my fault at all, but was still expected to pay nearly the price of a new pair to resolve the issue. Not worth the risk of a random break.

Worst Earphones EVER!!! Wish I could give 0 stars

    • Written by Krystal P from Jacksonville

Let's start by saying that if I purchase a pair of earphones for $170, I expect to ne able to use them. Buyer beware, you are better off going to get a $40 pair of earphones, don't say you haven't been warned. These useless earphones, at this point are just neck decoration. I have had them replaced 3 times for the same issue, not powering on due to a shortage and yet again the same issue.

    Terrible Quality Product

    • Written by Edward B

Received these from my Daughter on Father's Day. A few weeks ago they would not connect. I went to Apple Store and they replaced under warranty. After only three weeks the 2nd set started not connecting. I have updated firmware on website and I have reset as directed numerous times. I have lights blinking constantly red/white but they don't work. I have been an Apple loyalist for a very long time. This is clearly a major disappointment and my Daughter is heartbroken that this expensive gift is useless.

extremely poor value for the money

    • Written by Grif R from San Carlos

these phones are uncomfortable, both in the ear and the nasty wire across the back of the neck. they sound dreadful. music is unbearable. voice quality on calls no better. they're awkward to charge; awkward to power on. and they don't hold a charge. an hour conference call is about the limit of these terrible devices.

only positive thing about them is that they're wireless and therefore you're not tethered to the computer.

Good as long as they work

    • Written by Thomas H

I was very happy with my Beats, until one day when they suddenly stopped working and haven't worked ever after. It's not possible to charge them (red flicking light) and I have had to abandon them. My sons have Beats studio wireless and the same issue has happened to them now!!! No cure in sight. I can't take a risk to buy any beats longer, will move over to some other well known brand that has better lifetime.

Great until battery issues both pair

    • Written by Taneha S

My first pair I owned after 7 months died and wouldn't turn back on or hold a charge. Verizon Wireless was nice enough to let me return them I added money and repurchased the BeatsX Ten Year Decade Collection today it's been 4 months the headphones no longer turn on or hold a charge. For the price point the beats head phones are not worth it. In the past I have used the Samsung headphones I will look into get a pair of of Samsung headphones they are cheaper.

    Stopped Working...

    • Written by Ewelina S

These were amazing until they stopped working after a couple months! Ridiculous for the amount of money spent on them, they didn't even make it a year. Don't waste your money.

These things are too expensive to constantly mess up!!!

    • Written by Audrey M from Northport

My daughter has had these beatsx earphones for maybe three months and they’ve had to be replaced or repaired twice already!!! It seems they are not made very well and continues to mess up the same way every time!!!! It does not make any sense for a company like this to make or sell cheap products!! When the year warranty expires and they mess up again i will not buy another beats product again!!! If the earphones mess up this quick then every other product they sell will be the same!! I thought this was a good purchase but not if it will continue to mess up every other month!!! Either make your products better or lower your prices bc it is not worth the money and the hassle of sending it to be fixed every month!!! It amazes me that this product is so easily messed up within itself!! The wire part that hangs around your neck is the part that constantly messes up and makes it disconnect from the phone over and over!!! Just be careful of what you purchase with beats bc it will mess up very soon!!!

    DOA, would not turn on.

    • Written by Austin A from Twin falls

Arrived intact with no damage to packaging. Plugged them in and let them charge for an hour. The charge light was on when plugged in. Tried to turn them on and NOTHING happened! Not even any lights. Tried the online suggestions for trouble shooting and nothing worked, still no lights unless plugged in. Not able to get them to work. Returned them where purchased and now looking for something else.

    Waste of Money

    • Written by Luke G

Within 1 month of getting these as a gift I have already had to have a pair sent off for repair and the pair they have sent back now no longer connect to any devices. Unsatisfactory and a waste of money. Do not buy. Lost faith in all beats products. The joke is I will get nothing in return.

    Worst Beats Ever

    • Written by AnnaMae A from Tolleson

DO NOT BUY!!! I should have read the reviews before purchasing these headphones. I had them for a week and a half before realizing they were the worst purchase I have ever made. I don't understand why they are still on the shelves and I don't understand why a billion dollar company can't fix the bugs in such a simple product.
I have had to reset the Beats X every day I have had them, reconnect them to my phone every hour because they disconnect, and the sound quality is not that great. I have 5 other pairs of Beats and absolutely love the, but this experience makes me not want to purchase any more.

Awesome headphones - when they are not broke

    • Written by Johann K

These headphones are great - as long as they work. They seem to break quite easy due tue faulty wires. Just google "beats x blinks three times white" - this happened to me as well! And apple wont replace it, since it was bought through a different supplier. Not very durable nor satisfying. More frustrating!

    Avoid at all costs.

    • Written by Christian C from Brooklyn

When functional, the sound quality was good and the battery life was as advertised. HOWEVER - I am on my 4th replacement pair due to similar issues that keep returning with different versions - the volume controls will either stop working completely, or will engage without being asked to (skipping songs, stopping, etc), and also the phones will completely dump the charge right after charging so that you have to go through another full charging cycle in order to use. I also had a pair where the sound went out in the left earbud permanently. Apple's customer service has been mostly fine - it seems the store employees are mostly familiar with the issues this product has, but after having products replaced the same issue crops up again and again. Save your money, do not purchase this product until they refresh and improve whatever is plaguing this series.

    Don't buy

    • Written by Philip T from Lancaster

These worked fine for several months and then just stopped working. Following the reset procedure doesn't help. Judging by comments here and on support forums this is a very common issue so save your money and don't buy!

Better off sticking with the earbuds that come with phone

    • Written by william O from palm springs

I’m disappointed the salesperson recommended these. The sound quality, fit, and design are all not worth the price. For that matter, I wouldn’t use them if they were free. Poor fit, design and fuzzy sound . Staying with the earbuds that
Come standard with the phones are much better in all regards.
    Don’t waste your money!

bad product - lifetime of 2 months

    • Written by Alan H from Greenwich

Actually this is for the blue version but I am sure it does not matter given the other reviews I have read. Like many people, the Beats X earbuds worked nicely for about 2 months and then have failed with a blinking red and white LED signal. Reset does not fix it. From others experience, one can get a replacement but for me, with no nearby Apple store, I am not interested in paying a lot to send it back and get another one that lasts 2 months. No more Beats products for me. Apple should test these products better or stop selling such defective products.
