    Not great. Replaced first pair.

    First pair just stopped working. Still under warranty, sent it out for 'repair'. When it came back, it STILL didn't have full functionality.
    Expensive and poorly made. APPLE absolutely needs to stop selling these headsets.

    Broken after a year

    1 year 2months in, warranty is out...perfect time to break and that's what happened. One side is louder than the other now. Updated firmware, factory reset it, nothing.

    Love Doesn't Last

    These headphones changed my life when I got them 8 months ago. I listened to music and audiobooks while doing everything....until yesterday, when I set them down briefly to grab a glass of water (so they would stay connected to my laptop when I walked away). When I came back, they stopped connecting to my computer. I've tried all the solutions I could find online but they just won't pair or even show up anymore. I definitely got a lot of hours of play out of these headphones but I'm not sure I want to spend $100 on headphones every year or so.

    On my 3rd pair of beatsx now after getting 2 new pairs from warranty. Both previous pairs broke after around 10 months by flashing red and white and failing to connect. They have worked amazingly before that but not worth having to replace every year.

    Terrible quality

    These headphones are very convenient and decent sounding , but as you can see from other reviews, they fail very frequently. Im on my second pair and they failed again. Same thing happened like with the first one, they just suddenly stopped powering on. This is a wide spread issue and I think apple should release extended warranty program or recall them altogether.

    These headphones are not of quality. I would not recommend them. I have had two pairs of these headphones. I liked them because they were wireless and compact. I use them on planes and very occasionally to work out or run. The first pair just stopped holding battery. I would charge them and as long as they were plugged in the little light on them was on and all seemed well. As soon as you unplug (which you have to to use them), they go completely dead as a rock. This happened after 12 months. Then i sent in to be replaced by Apple. They sent me another (new?) pair. That pair worked as expected for 2.5 months until suddenly only one ear consistently produced audio. This remains to this day. I have reached out again to apple, but have yet to receive a response. I have to say, unless I can be convinced these incidents are a fluke, I will be purchasing my next earphones elsewhere.These headphones are not of quality. I would not recommend them.

    Wanna give more stars but..

    Had my BeatsX for over a year now. They’ve been great. They charge fast and sound pretty good. They dangle a bit too long sometimes. I wish there was something to fix that. Now to the only actual problem. All of a sudden they won’t work. I’m getting a pinkish white solid light that I can’t turn off. They won’t reset, power down, or connect. I don’t know what this is it seems to charge. These aren’t throw away earphones there needs to be an explanation. Like I like them but to buy them at such a price to have them just stop working unexpectedly without any answer is disheartening to say the least.

    Sound great until they stop working

    Just as everyone else said, these just stopped working one day. I think it is also important to underscore how ridiculous apple support is as well. Though I'm in the process of getting these sent back, the hoops I had to jump through to is silly. Had to login and use two factor auth to even get to a representative. They offer no refund policy, just a replacement until they deem they've done everything they can, then they'll charge you for the time you used them. So best case? I do this over and over again until someone determines I'm eligible and at that point, I'm sure I'll have enough 'usage' they won't offer any payback. I stopped using Apple stuff for this exact reason. Moral is: pay either $30 or $200 for headphones. Don't bother with beatsx.

    I love the sound but they break/malfunction far too easily

    I'm on my second set of Beats X headphones and am currently either in need of repair or replacement. However the repair price is $92 when a brand new pair sits at $99!? I'd look for an alternative to the beats x. The wiring doesn't seem to be durable and its tempermental when pairing to devices.

    Died just after warranty period expired

    These headphones were great, worked and sounded fine, until I'd used them for 1 year and 3 months. They then started dropping connection after 10-15 seconds, with the lights blinking red & white. Neither a hard reset nor a software update fixed them. The Apple store told me I could purchase a replacement for $80 since the warranty period is over, but after reading all of the similar reviews, I'm not eager to pay $80 every year to buy these over and over.

    Horrible Quality

    These headphones look very cool and sound quite nice but have terrible build quality. My first ones broke after a few weeks and the replacement pair were broken straight out of the box. Would not recommend these headphones!

    Hurts to Write this Review - Stay Away from this Product

    When it works I absolutely love this ear phones. Light, durable, reliable, great sound, and most importantly great call.

    However I had to replace this item 2 times! It literally dies on the anniversary date every year around the same date. I bought my original beats x from Best Buy and a year later it stop charging and holding a charge. They replaced it for free as it was right before the 1 year warranty. Then another year and it disconnects/connects randomly so I can't even use it.

    Now I'm stuck looking for another one and just not a lot out there!

    Good only for a little while

    I love the beats compatibility with the iPhone and the sound. Overall these are good headphones but eventually, they break down and you have to keep repairing them until the warranty ends. $79 for repair is not worth it when these headphones are constantly breaking.

    Poor sound and low volume

    I was given the BeatsX earbuds by my wife in June of 2018 for fathers day and they sounded great at first, the sound quality was very good and nosie isolation was great. Then around December the sound began to become lower and lower no matter how much I tried to turn them up. Very nice earbuds but wish they were made with better quality, sound, and lasted longer. BeatsX earbuds are my second "BEATS" product (also have powerbeats) and I am sad to say I will not be purchasing anymore item from "BEATS."

    Stop Working

    I have to admit the sound quality was great.... But they suddenly just stopped working. Even with a full charge and a software update they will not turn on... Disappointed to say the least.

    Don't Buy- They are good BUT don't last. Now on pair 3

    First set lost sound on one side after a week. Second set died in 6 months with white and red flashing lights (Exactly the same as you find here and on forums). For 100$ I expect them to last. I have a set of Sony earbuds noise cancelling and wired. 5 years and still going strong. Don't waste your money. 2 stars as they were good when they worked

    Best headphones I ever had - until they failed 3 months out of warranty

    The sound, form factor, lightning charging, etc. made this the best headphones I've ever had. They battery charged quickly and lasted a long time, I could run with them, take conference calls with them, etc. Really, truly, the best headphones I ever had.

    And then they stopped working. The failure was sudden and not correlated to any sort or misuse, water exposure, etc. They just stopped staying paired. They I'd get the blinking red/white light issue shared by so many others here. Very, very disappointing.

    purchased last year and after 5months the units is not working They replace a new unit but after 6months the unit is not working again And 1year warranty expires so no any support with a unit. I didn’t enjoy using this epic fail braand and model. Too pricey but unreliable. How disappointing

    Wont Hold Charge

    Phenominal Sound, Great Microphone, Very Comfortable. Perfect in each of these performance measures. Probelm, the advertised 8 Hour Charge is a myth. I can barely get 90 minutes use without having to charge. If there is no charge, I can't enjoy the product, rendering it useless.
