Editorial cartoonist Nomi Kane relies on digital methods to meet deadlines. Join us to kick off our two-part series with California College of the Arts (CCA), moderated by Matt Silady, comics department chair. Kane will share how to create single-panel cartoons using Procreate on iPad with Apple Pencil. Then you’ll practice sketching and adding finishing touches. Devices will be provided.

Nomi Kane is a designer at Super7 and a cartoonist whose work has appeared in The New Yorker, The Nib, and Mad Magazine. Kane is an alumna of The Center for Cartoon Studies and a professor of comics at CCA.
