Our celebration of Black History Month continues with Bay Area vocalist Sólás B. Lalgee. Join us as he performs an eclectic blend of jazz, soul, and house music that he refers to as a mirror into his soul. Then Lalgee will talk about his collaboration with the Omi Arts series at the Ashara Ekundayo Gallery — a space dedicated to art by black womxn.

Sólás B. Lalgee is a singer and teacher at the Oakland School for the Arts. His voice was once described by the late Nancy Wilson as akin to a velvet smoke that wraps around you like a warm blanket.
