Solid design with a couple of flaws.

That being said I have to wholehearted At first I thought this was a great case for the new look iPad Pro and the removable Apple Pencil holder works just fine. That being said I have to wholeheartedly agree with the comments regarding the issue of using the buttons. They, especially on the on/off button, really hurt your finger tips when trying to use them. I really wish that they had included a removable spine, such as the OtterBox Symmetry case does, to protect the Smart Connector when you aren’t using it for the Smart Keyboard. That being said I disliked the OtterBox’s fabric Built-in loop for your Apple Pencil as I felt it cheapened the design somewhat and when you’re paying £80 it was a compromise too far for me. An amalgamation of the two cases might have brought something close to perfection. However the one big issue with the Tech21 case surfaced during the last few months of use because the outer edges of the ‘BulletShield’ started to yellow. Annoyingly I only really noticed after 13-months and so I was unable to return it to Apple but in fairness to Tech21 they replaced under their Limited Lifetime Warranty. I have always used Tech21 and found the products to be well designed and capable to the challenges everyday can bring. I have dropped my iPad more than a few times the BulletShield lives up to its name.

The first was that the buttons on the device became unresponsive with the case on, so every time I wanted to use the volume or on/off switch I had to push down hard which doesn't seem right somehow, this should have been picked up in testing and a solution found to make the areas around the buttons more tactile. Secondly, the pencil holder attachment became loose and eventually just started slipping off by itself. 6 months after purchasing it I had to return it to the Apple store for a refund mainly due to the pencil holder problem.
