  • Overview

Made for the storyteller in you, the DJI OSMO Mobile 2 Gimbal for iPhone is a hand-held stabiliser that works with the DJI GO app to turn your iPhone into a smart motion camera. It makes everything you shoot look smooth, professional and ready to share. OSMO Mobile 2 automatically tracks your subject, captures stunning motion timelapses or even streams a moment live around the globe. It also offers the freedom of a lighter design, more intelligent functions and a longer-lasting battery.

    Be in the moment

ActiveTrack technology built into the DJI GO app allows the OSMO Mobile to automatically keep your iPhone facing you as you move. You no longer have to choose between recording a moment or taking part in it.

    Effortlessly smooth video

If you’ve ever walked around while shooting video with your iPhone, you’ll know how hard it is to keep your camera still. OSMO Mobile smooths and even cancels out the movements you make, stopping camera shake and turning every shot into cinematic video.

    Time in motion

Turn everyday situations into memorable moments with Timelapse. Shoot blooming flowers and rolling clouds, recording all their movements in a stable shot. For an even more dynamic effect, Motion Timelapse lets you move with the camera while creating equally smooth video.

    Cinematic zoom control

For aspiring filmmakers, a new built-in zoom slider lets you completely operate your iPhone camera from the handle with more fluid, cinematic zoom. You can even produce dolly zoom — a visual effect that only professional film sets could produce.

Reveal a bigger world with panoramas

Relive breathtaking landscapes with high-definition panoramas. The Osmo Mobile 2 moves automatically to capture multiple photos, then stitches them together to create a seamless image. You can also set your iPhone camera to Landscape or Portrait mode, giving you ideal options for every picture.

    All-new portrait mode

The Osmo 2 Mobile now allows you to mount your iPhone in Portrait mode. As the default orientation for live streaming apps, Portrait mode also helps you take landscape panoramas and supports all shooting modes and functions.

Designed for hours of live streaming

Go live with up to 15 hours of battery life. The Osmo Mobile 2 can also charge your iPhone for hours of streaming.

I think it's a bit disingenuous of both Apple and DJi for selling this only through the Apple store, when it doesn't even work well with their current phones.

THIS IS TERRIBLE WITH THE IPHONE X

Lots of jittering with video with this and IPhone X as the image stabilisation on the phone can't be turned off and causes all sorts of problems in video

Be patient charging it from new it takes longer to get it up to full, but after that it’s fine. For the money this is fab, also bought a go pro session adapter off eBay so I can use my go pro as well

The app is actually very good, especially the tracking mode where it locks on to people or objects. I did have a little stuttering as mentioned in previous reviews, but turning on the 'pitch lock' instantly gets rid of that. And to be honest I always have pitch lock turned on as it makes for a much more professional looking video. Since showing friends 2 more of them have purchased one... If you're 'on the fence' because of the negative reviews then seriously try it yourself as its awesome.

This is a superb gimbal for the first time user.

With just a little practice (one hour) I've been able to use this to produce a motion lapse movie on my iPhone 5SE that looks great, and has done well on the client's Facebook Page. It's lightweight, easy for a novice to set up, and the different modes are fairly easy to configure too. Considering that the cost was £129, I think it great value for money. I've not rated the device 5 stars, as the quick start guide is a little sparse, but there are plenty of "how to" videos on YouTube to get you going.
