  • Overview

The 60W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter features a magnetic DC connector so if someone should trip over it, the cord disconnects harmlessly and your MacBook Pro stays put safely. It also helps prevent fraying or weakening of the cables over time. In addition, the magnetic DC helps guide the plug into the system for a quick and secure connection.

When the connection is secure, an LED located at the head of the DC connector lights up; an amber light lets you know that your notebook is charging, while a green light tells you that you have a full charge. An AC cord is provided with the adapter for maximum cord length, while the AC wall adapter (also provided) gives you an even easier and more compact way to travel.

Designed to be the perfect traveling companion, the adapter has a clever design which allows the DC cable to be wound neatly around itself for easy cable storage.

Compatible with MacBook Pro with 13-inch Retina display.

      Poor show from Apple

I completely concur with the previous Gentleman's comments; we have a MacBook Pro and a Mac Book air and have gone through two cables in less than two years. I I completely concur with the previous Gentleman's comments; we have a MacBook Pro and a Mac Book air and have gone through two cables in less than two years. I have an old Dell laptop which has been carried all around the world and the cable is still going strong 4 years on - Apple it is a very poor show. At £65 a cable it is pure day light robbery!

      Not robust

The power adaptor looks good and the magnetic connection is a great idea as it prevents the laptop being pulled off a desk or surface. However, the unit itself The power adaptor looks good and the magnetic connection is a great idea as it prevents the laptop being pulled off a desk or surface. However, the unit itself is of poor build quality and easily breaks - usually through the wire splitting as it comes out of the adaptor. When this happens the unit has to be replaced. For £65 I expect a much better build quality.

Minus Stars- Power Cable covered in insulating tape

Seriously? £79 for a cable that is split at least a quarter of its length will be DIY mended using insulating tape! I love the Macbook, but I'm embarrassed u Seriously? £79 for a cable that is split at least a quarter of its length will be DIY mended using insulating tape! I love the Macbook, but I'm embarrassed using it in public presentations because it's power cable looks as if I have dragged it out of the back of the cupboard, where my dog has had fun chewing on it! This is unacceptable, Apple. Your product is defective. Any self-respecting company would recall such a product and sort this problem out. Because having been asked would I recommend a Macbook a week ago, I said no on the basis of the cable. After paying £1000 for a piece of hardware, I should not be embarrassed by any part of it, and should not have to fork out £80 little after a year from purchase.
