Terrible Durability, Not worth the money!

Each pair of beats has not lasted longer than 6 months, I use my earphones everyday and so durability is a key factor for me which is where these beats perform terribly. I take incredibly good care of my beats and always store them in their carrying case when they are not in use however for the third time now my beats have broken. It begins by the audio intermittently cutting out in one ear and worsens until eventually it stops functioning all together (also on my newest pair of replacement beats the microphone casing has fractured and split leaving the internal circuitry exposed however this is the first time this has happened to me). It seems the audio jack connection on these URBEATS is very poorly designed and is a major weak point which always gives out and results in audio problems. Pros: Great Sound, Punchy Bass Cons: Flimsy Construction, Poor Design I would 100% not recommend these products they are definitely now worth the price.

      Very poor durabilty

1 ear stopped working 9 months after buying. Sent to Apple for repair. Repaired then only lasted 3 months before same problem again! Apple just told me they're 1 ear stopped working 9 months after buying. Sent to Apple for repair. Repaired then only lasted 3 months before same problem again! Apple just told me they're now out of warranty so can't offer a refund & repair carries a service charge that is pretty much the same cost as a new pair! Ridiculous. Sound quality is good but unless you want to buy a new pair every 6 months, avoid!!

These earphones are more suited to indoor listening and less active outdoor use as the earphones are made from solid aluminium so they're a bit heavy. Because of this when the leads tug on them (for example if you're running) they can fall out of your ears. However despite this they are an excellent pair of earphones for daily listening. If you're looking for something more suited to fitness I'd recommend the Beats PowerBeats3 Wireless Earphones which I personally use for cycling as they stay in your ears with no problems whatsoever. These earphones are of excellent quality and I would definitely recommend them .

However the left ear bud suddenly stopped producing sound and shortly after so did the right ear bud. I only use my earphones on my commute to work; so just under one hour usage per day and no strenuous activity that may cause damage, i.e. Running or any other exercise. Given that most people use their earphones on a daily basis you'd expect an £80 pair of earphones to be durable and be able to withstand frequent use. Conveniently the urbeats stopped working shortly after the warranty expired so I am unable to exchange for a new pair. I was considering purchasing a pair of beats x earphones when I upgrade my phone later this year but given how disappointing the urbeats were, I'm reluctant to pay another £130 for a product that may not even last a year.
