I'm not alone there are hundreds of people experiencing the same fault on Apples support communities site. £169 for something that can barely last a year is very poor indeed.

While I didn't want a case per say because I wanted to remove it when I was say using the iPad as a tablet. The Logitech keyboard for the Pro I had heard some issues with scratching the screen, so avoided that and splashed out on this keyboard. It does take some time to get used to typing but hey, was able to code up a website with no trouble. Pros: It feels like quality materials, looks beautiful and doesn't add as much weight. Cons: It is clunky, because it folds back in on itself so the keys don't touch or damage the screen there is a flap that may annoy.

I must say I am impressed with the overall design, whist the iPad is stood there is no question of it's stability if you're tapping the screen. The keys have a nice feel when you're typing, just like a laptop and they're covered in a fabric that seems pretty hard wearing. The fact that it's connected via the Smart Connector means it saves time that you would use connecting to Bluetooth keyboards. The one extra this item might benefit from is a backlight however the light from the iPad screen keeps it lit pretty well. Considering everything I would be more than happy to recommend this keyboard to any of my friends or family.

Mine failed too - pointless money-waster

The only sign of its even trying to be a keyboard is the famous "not supported" message on the iPad Pro screen. Ironic because the on-screen keyboard of the iPad Pro is so much better than on the smaller tablets that I found the physical keyboard was redundant anyway. In summary: don't buy it - you don't need one. If you do buy it then expect it to stop working.

"This accessory is not supported........" blah blah blah

Have the 12.9" model and 9.7" model both with Smart Keyboards, both getting the error that seems to happen to all of them when they hit a certain age and Apple Have the 12.9" model and 9.7" model both with Smart Keyboards, both getting the error that seems to happen to all of them when they hit a certain age and Apple still deny there is an issue.
