  • Overview

Now in a Space Grey finish. Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad features an extended layout, with document navigation controls for quick scrolling and full-size arrow keys for gaming. A scissor mechanism beneath each key allows for increased stability, while optimised key travel and a low profile provide a comfortable and precise typing experience. The numeric keypad is also great for spreadsheets and finance applications. And the built-in, rechargeable battery is incredibly long-lasting, powering your keyboard for about a month or more between charges.1

Fantastic keyboard. Annoying that it's not USB-C.

I have a new MacBook Pro that is USB-C powered and it would be nice if I didn't have to have another type of cable at my desk. Other than that, the keyboard is amazing. The keys are brilliant to type on. It looks spectacular next to my space grey MacBook.

This looks way better than the matte black concept magic keyboards. The colour contrast between the black keys and the space grey body is stunning. And of course, it’s got the same typing experience as that of a regular white magic keyboard. In some ways, the typing experience has doubled. If their was one thing I want next, it would be a space grey magic keyboard without the numeric keypad. You may be paying £10.00 extra, but trust me it’s worth it.

      Sleek keyboard

Great keyboard, looks good, types good although I think the older white keyboards are easier to write with.

It is not a great typing experience. There is too little travel on the keys and they come to a hard stop, making it uncomfortable with sustained use. My old Microsoft curve USB keyboard is far, far better and for £150, I expected something more from Apple. The other issue is (though it is unclear whether it is a keyboard or a computer issue) is that this keyboard will not react to the ALT button on power up, to go to the boot selection screen on a 2019 Mac Mini, unless the charge cable is plugged in. Apple can afford to hire an ergonomist. You make great play of making your software intuitive and easy to use. It should be a similar story for the man-machine interface.
