Still a step back from the old Smart Cases however because it lacks any protection for the side, does not have the Apple logo on the back and is not available in leather. For an iPad of this quality and expense, a silicone folio may suffice but a leather one is desirable.

Overall great case except for the price it is sold for.

As we know, Apple are trying to make their devices thiner and thiner and essentially we are also paying for a thinner design. So when buying a new case we would like it to be thin, so that the device does not look bulky. This case definitely captures that aspect of the new iPad Pro as the case is very thin. This case also stays firmly in place considering it is connected to the iPad via magnets. This case also leaves the sides uncovered so that an apple pencil can be attached on the side which makes it very convenient for apple pencil users. If you're looking for a case that really protects the iPad then this is not the case for you at it does not protect the iPad very well but for a case for everyday use this is a very good, lightweight case. The one reason why my review for this case didn't get all five stars is that it is very expensive and should be sold for a lower price considering the iPad itself is very expensive.

      Slim, smart case

You might be like me and wanting to protect the screen and back from scratches, but don't want to ruin the appearance or feel of the device? If so, this is the case for you. Protect the front and back, keep the device super-slim, and have a built-in stand for when you need it. It can be tricky to decide between this and the keyboard version. For the sofa iPad users who don't input much more than a few words at a time, the slim fit of this case far outweighs the physical keyboard. Highly recommended!

      Embarrassing design

It is literally painful experience handholding iPad with this Smart Folio on. - Sharp edges - Ergonomics = 0 - Protection = 0 - Design = 0

To protect it I opted for the full leather case. This Was around £65 and although expensive at the time was full soft grain leather front and back. Protected the sides and the hinge was also leather so very durable. Five years on and it has protected my investment incredibly well and still looks like new. Today I bought the new IPad Pro and wanted to offer it the same level of protection. The closest case Apple do is now £85 for a plastic case, with a plastic hinge and no side protection. The quality is worse, protection worse and I would suggest it’s longevity worse, however it cost £20 more than the full leather case of the past. Apple Why?
