Amateurs. As a result you have to run the Cinema Display cables around the side of the stand - creating a right mess of a spaghetti junction and completed voiding any attempt at cable management. And they've got the cheek to show you the mStand next to a Cinema Display in the marketing materials - but surprise, surprise, there are no cables on show.

      Good... But...

This is an excellent stand, but overpriced, as it's the equivalent of around £25-30 in the US.

      Excellent quality, stability and ergonomics

I needed a stand like this to prevent neck and arm strain. It avoids this by raising the MacBook Pro to my eye level. I also use it at a distance that is ideal for my vision. As I am short sighted I can now use my Macbook without my glasses. It is very high quality, rock solid to use with a separate keyboard and mouse (both Apple), on its own, or alongside a 27 inch 4K Dell pro monitor. It also doubles up as a fantastic reading lectern and it also works well with my Lenovo X series machines. It is not cheap but the health and ergonomic benefits make it a sound investment that will last a long time. The older comments on the rear 'hole size' are out of date now. The hole at the back can fit many cables through it. A strong recommendation to buy. I am now looking into some other Rain Design tech as they make several good quality and highly regarded accessories.

My wacom tablet fits neatly underneath so whenever I need to draw I can just put it under, the eye level of the screen is perfect and no need for adjusting. I'm a little curious to the swivel base stand version (although you can easily just shift the base of the stand to suit any angle yourself). Another useful thing I discovered with this stand, is that I can also use it as a drawing stand. I can fit my sketchpad (Daler Rowney Arteco Jumbo Sketching Pad 250 x 250mm) on top nicely and comfortably draw. It's great. I just wish it was easy to take around, as a freelancer I am usually on the move from place to place. It's too big to fit in your bag. If you're not buying for yourself, then think about others who might need it. The best present for any Macbook laptop user, the benefits of having a laptop stand are so much better for your posture and ultimately improves working standards.
