Can it be used with Thunderbolt 2 devices using this adapter? The Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter?

According to the document HT207448 "Use the LG UltraFine 5K Display with your Mac":
With the Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter and a Thunderbolt cable, you can use the LG UltraFine 5K Display at 4K and lower resolutions on some Macs with Thunderbolt 2 ports.- Answered by Joseph V from Fort Langley

Additional comment to the previous comment. How you supposed to use two thunderbolt 2 connections if there just one thunderbolt 3 port and three others just downstream usb-c?
