Will this keypad work with VMware Fusion & Windows 8.1 Pro running on a Macbook Pro 15" w/Retina?
I was looking for a full wireless keyboard and numeric keypad to use with my Macbook. I never found one that was as nice as the Apple wired keyboard and numeric keypad (used on our iMac). So, I thought I might explore just adding the Belkin wireless keypad. Does Apple have any plans to roll out a full wireless keyboard that includes the numeric keypad? If so, when would that happen?

Best Answer:It works fine on my iMac running VMWare Fusion and Windows 8.1 Pro. (I had to press the CLEAR key (box with cross in it) then it worked fine. Perhaps this is interpreted as Num Lock.

I have yet to get this keypad to work with bootcamp. Either it registers or my original imac wireless keyboard registered, but not both so far. Then it only works as directional keys when the keypad links....not as a numerical input device.

cover for this keypad
I have a Moshi cover for the keyboard, and would like something of the same sort for the Belkin keypad. On a desk with coffee cups around it'd be a comfort.

AnswerWhen you are in the PC environment in Parallels, you [sometimes] have to press the [CLEAR] key on the keypad. I guess that is the equivalent to pressing the NUM LOCK key on a PC keyboard.
