When I connect the keyboard the pop up keyboard still appears on the screen and I was wondering if there was anyway to disable that happening?

Best Answer:According to Apple, it takes about two hours to charge them but once charged you use them on average for 2 months unplugged.
While you can continue to use the Magic Keyboard 2 while charging, due to the design of Magic Mouse 2 (charging port being placed underneath the mouse) you cannot use it while charging.- Answered by Tamer A from New York

AnswerYes it is, I am on Win10 and is working great, straight away discovery with BT, as well on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is working well

the thuderbolt ports don't seem to be compatible with the magic mouse or the magic keyboard so how can I pair them to my MacBook Pro?

Does this have the new "butterfly" key mechanism or the standard "scissor" key mechanism?
For example, is the keyboard super thin with buttons that need not be pressed very far down (as seen on the newest MacBook and MacBook Pro)? Or is it the standard "scissor" key mechanism (as seen in current MacBook Air and older Apple Magic Keyboard)?
