Hi. This sport loop watch band looks like it is fastened with Velcro. Won't it pull at the loops and quicky leave the band looking 'fluffy' & messy?

AnswerIt's a specially designed hook-and-loop tape similar to Velcro, but I think it's an improvement. Looks like the loops are closed, and the hooks are also modified. I'm hoping that means the fuzzy thing that happens with Velcro won't be such an issue her. Time will tell.

AnswerIt functions identically to velco but because the loops are rubberized and and the material is nylon it should be more durable than traditional velcro.

Is this band different then the nike sport loop?

AnswerIt's the same type of band, Sport Loop, hook and loop woven nylon. It has slightly different in graphic design. If you look closely Nike one has the vertical white stripes accent across the band where regular Black Sport Loop is just pure black. Hope this helps

How does the band fair against Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap; in the shower?
How does the band last with like soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. I see some answers that they say it gets wet, but dries super quickly, but doesn't go into grave detail enough to the point where if you tried their recommendation that it turns out to something else and didn't like the actual outcome of it. Just was working outside when it started to rain a decent amount, enough to get damp on my clothes and all, and the band seemed to stay dry or just a little feeling of it being wet. Just thought I'd see if there was anyone else that fully tested this out or actually had a video of them doing this since I searched google and youtube and found nothing.

AnswerNo problem! I wear mine in the shower and after a couple of weeks, no apparent damage to the band. I also find that it dries out very quickly afterwards, especially if I blot the excess water with my bath towel.

How does the band fasten?
- Asked by Andrew H from Millsboro
- 18-Sep-2017
- Flag as inappropriate (How does the band fasten?)
AnswerThis band is made of a specially designed hook and loop type tape. Instead of deep, open loops that would eventually get unraveled to a fuzzy mess, the loops appear to be closed, i.e. With both ends connected to the tape. The hook part is quite shallow compared to regular Velcro-brand tape, resulting in a nubby rather than a scratchy surface. Whether this modification proves to be durable over time remains to be seen, but it certainly ends up being very soft and comfortable to wear. The band has the hook fasteners on one end, and it's one continuous tape, so the fastener end folds over and attaches to the looped surface, which gives the wearer the ability to adjust the length to the individual's wrist size. Finally, there's a safety bar on the hook end, which keeps the band from becoming detached from the watch itself and maintaining the closed loop, thus preventing loss of the Watch. Excellent design.
