Oh my goodness, this is an awful product

I found myself in the Aberdeen Apple store the day after my wife accidentally cracked her first Iphone screen protector. This product was the only one available in store and I decided to take a punt as Apple would probably sell a decent product, right? Nope. This is the worst screen protector I've ever had the bad luck to purchase. Initially quite impressed at the application tool, I soon realised it was badly made and the protector wouldn't fit into place as the tool was slightly malformed. Also, the provided cloth added more dust than it cleared. Just impossible to get a decent finish. I eventually bit the bullet and removed the cover and rinsed it under a tap and 'wet installed' it. This worked thankfully, but i would not recommend doing this. It looks horrible on the phone and just barely covers the screen. Truly overpriced garbage. I hope you read the reviews before you buy like I wish I had done. Awful. Buy something, ANYTHING else.

    Don't waste you money

Worst screen protector, doesn't even cover the screen and has done. It Has done absolutely nothing to protect my screen which has now cracked with the protector on. Don't believe the bullet proof part on the packaging as clearly it isn't.

Don't know why Apple are having this product in their stores.

    Good and bads...

The good thing is that I would say that this 3m shield glass protector has a strong protection so if ur iPhone 6s falls down while texting the protector protects the phone and won't damage the phone but obviously the protector likely can be broken.and ur phone can be broken it depends on the damage. And the negative thing is that it is expensive for a lot of people. Really? 24.95 pounds?????? And the last point is that if u use ur phone for months the protector will start to fall off in a matter of time. So u have to keep on buying it every few months.

    Excellent Protection and easy allignment

Would recommend this cover to anyone, friends and family. Very easy to allign and the antiglare is very effective. Any air bubbles when fitting the cover were extremely easy to remove therefore meaning that the air bubbles did not affect the screen.

    Tech 21 Screen Protector

I am only giving one star for this review because there isn't an option to give zero stars. The wipe cloth provided with the product put more dust on the screen than it took off. When it came to putting the protector on this was a fiddly operation with the plastic guide provided. The protector doesn't cover the whole screen and because there were tiny cloth fibres left from the cleaning cloth, small bubbles were left behind on the screen. I can't comment on how good or bad the matt finish is or how good or bad the scratch resistance is because the protector is now in the bin with the rest of the rubbish. It didn't last five minutes on the phone.

I don't mind paying top dollar for good products but this one is definitely not worth the money. I should have stuck with the maker of the other invisible shields I have on all my other phones even if they are more expensive.

    Not worth the price

For almost £25 you only get one screen protector and it doesn't even cover the whole screen!
Cheaper and better alternatives out there.

Scratched and my phone hasn't left the house yet

Really very annoyed indeed. Put this on my phone this afternoon and it's already scratched. I've hardly used it. Suspect it got scratched putting it on. I used the piece of plastic that came with it. £25, you've got to be kidding me. It's not fit for purpose. How do I get a refund?

Can get better protection for less

I've had this screen protector on since buying my iPhone and I'm not overly impressed; especially for how much it costs. It's been on for about a week and it's already been scratched deeply, which is simply annoying.
The main selling point of this screen protector is for drop protection, spreading the force of impact over the screen. I'm sure this works pretty well but I haven't dropped my phone yet. The worst bit about it is how quickly it does scratch. I've been careful with where I've put it and what items I've put in my pocket with it, but it hasn't worked.
The anti-glare doesn't work very well in my opinion as it just spreads the light over the surface, not really making it easier to use. The protector also has a matte finish, which has a squeaky sound to scroll over the screen. It's also reduced the phones responsiveness, like access to the control panel from the bottom, as it takes several attempts to open it.
If you want long lasting scratch protection, this isn't the answer.

    Severely disappointed

Ok so with the positives... the screen protector is matte finish ie anti-glare and as such gives a nice finish to the screen. However, the protector itself doesnt even fit the whole screen. I am using a 6s and about 2-milimeteres of screen either side are exposed, I am baffled as this is supposed to fit the screen (fyi i used the kit as directed to apply and my protector is not wonky). In trying ti remedy this, I now have a layer of dust collected under the protector which is now on my phone. The "wipe" provided to clean your screen and remove all of the dust actually sheds a whole load of fibres across the screen so that with each wipe, my screen became progressively dirtier and covered with little hairy fibres. Overall a major disappointment and as a screen protector stocked by apple, I am deeply disappointed and outraged. Total waste of money.

    Fantastic screen protecter

I recently brought one of these screen protecters for my iPhone and it performed outstandingly. I left my iPhone on the boot of my car face up and slammed the door shut! To my horror I rushed to the boot to find my screen perfectly in tact with not a scratch on it. Therefore, I am glad I made the investment compared to the amount i would've had to pay for a replacement screen.

    Very impressed

ok so I have only had this protector on a couple of weeks and if it starts peeling off some time soon I will not be so impressed but I wanted to give a different perspective on this product.. First Apple Store installed the protector on the phone for me in a few minutes and it is flawless . No bubbles at all. I have had to install many screen protectors myself over many years with varying degrees of success and it was great to get someone else doing it for me for free and doing it perfectly . Secondly the anti glare is wonderful with the screen and colours looking clearer and more vibrant than I have ever seen . In addition I have been surprised and amazed at the lack of smudges , this is a big bonus I wasn't expecting .
I replaced my old glass protector because it had developed a crack . I am delighted with this one . It is more expensive than many others but I have tried many from different price ranges over the years and generally found .. You get what you pay for and £24 is fine with me if it gives me this quality of improvement and lasts for a few months

Totally not worth the amount paid!

This screen protector is awful overall. Let me start off with why you might buy it:

Costs a lot of money, therefore it must be good right? I thought so.
I thought I was getting, for £25, a screen protector with fully rounded edges for the screen to full coverage. I also thought I was buying a glass screen protector for this price. It is a very clear and sharp protector, with a really nice anti-glare covering that works as intended.

But it doesn't cover the screen. It is actually less wide than the width of the LCD display, which is just useless. The area where your speaker and home button are, along with the entire curved edge is completely unprotected even with a case.
It's also not glass, in fact, what's the difference between this and a cheap Chinese one from eBay? Absolutely nothing, except it costs £24 more. Absolute rubbish.

I'm trying for a refund as soon as possible. I hope you don't fall into the same trap I did.

Film doesn't even fit properly in the red holder. Doesn't fit the screen properly. Definitely not worth £25.00!! Waste of money!!

    Seems OK to me

I've had a number of iPhones and a number of screen protectors all of which peel off, don't fit correctly or simply bubble up resulting in me taking it off and hoping for the best. Having had a Tech21 case in the past, I knew that a screen protector wouldn't be cheap but I needed something to keep my iPhone 6 looking smart. I made sure I carefully read the instructions and took time to sit the applicator in position before starting to add the screen protector. I aligned the base carefully against the applicator and simply let the protector 'fall' onto the iPhone screen. Immediately the bubbles vanished and it was perfectly lined up. Since then (2 months and counting) it doesn't look like it's going to budge. No peeling, no marks, no issues. Worked for me but price limits it to four stars.

    Great product

This was easy to install, with no air bubbles after I'd finished. Seems incredibly strong, not too thick. Screen stays really responsive still. Would definitely reccomend. Yes, it doesn't cover the whole front of the phone, but used with a case its great.

    Don't bother!

Protector is way too small for the screen so will peel away easily and also creates an annoying line across the screen where the edge of the protector is! Also it's virtually impossible to get all the air bubbles out, even with significant time spent scraping with the hard card provided, as a result it doesn't provide anywhere near a good result and if it wasn't SO expensive I'd be tempted to take it off. Not good value for money or a quality product in any way.

    Don't Bother!!!

I got this from the Apple Store on the recommendation of the Apple Genius, got it home and tried to install it, the plastic button stencil for when you install it is a good idea however once the film is in place it is next to impossible to get all the air bubbles out, I also noticed that it did not cover the whole screen, I understand that it may not go from top to bottom and all the way accros the iPhone 6 but I would expect it to cover everywhere I would touch on the app screen, it doesn't!! Utterly useless! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, IT IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!!!!!

The Worst apple approved design EVER!!!!

Not sure how this made it passed the apple bods. It doesn't even cover the screen. I know the glass is curved but it should at least cover the screen don't you think. Would have given it less if it were possible and the Apple sales guy wasn't standing over my shoulder.

As a matte screen protector goes this is pretty poor.
Mine is perfectly applied (no bubbles/ marks etc) - tip is to do this in a bathroom with hot tap/ shower on (steam picks up all the bits in the air).

Nearly all of the ones on the market don't fit the rounded bezels on the new iphones - this one is no different!
Quality of material is good, however the design is very poor.

The cut-out round the home button has peeled away and cut-out near the ear piece is also starting to peel away slightly.
Honestly - the design of this screen protector is flawed - unless Tech21 sort it out don't waste your money.
