    Good product, poor value

I’ve been looking for a ‘decent’ high quality 10.5 iPad case for aaaages, but I think that because Apple change the tablets’ dimensions every product iteration, manufacturers have got sick of the obscelesance; so even over a year down the line, the headline manufacturers don’t seem to be knocking out supporting cases. Montblanc, for example, have told me that they no longer make iPad cases for this reason.

So, with that being said, FINALY, Moleskine have the 10.5 case out.

It’s £80, and probably worth £40. It’s good quality build, but sub-par materials.. it’s fully synthetic; no leather.

On the positives, we have an elastic sheath to hold a pencil, and it feels like it will do so reasonably securely. The iPad seems to be able to be ‘micro positioned’ to basically whatever angle you like thanks to a good interior case fixing material (plastic) and microfibre lining combo.

In summary, it’s a good premium case, it’s unmistakably Moleskine, it should last a good couple of years, it’s very convenient in terms of allowable display angles, it can hold a pencil. However it’s not worth the RRP.
