    Poor

I purchased the product in October 2017 and it’s lasted approx 6 months I don’t feel the durability of the product is good enough compared to cheaper alternatives on the market . This was taken up at an apple store to no avail

Quite dissapointed for a premium product

    But but not tough enough

This works really well. Have owned it and the phone for 2 years now. Most days my phone is still fully charged till late afternoon and that then lasts me till bedtime. It integrates nicely, with both the case and the phone battery’s shown on the notification screen.
The shape isn’t to everyone liking but I’m fine with it.
    Down side are;
    Cost. £99!
The case has split around the top edges. Ok this maybe because I keep it in my pocket, but the rubber has come away around the whole thing. It’s still works fine and the broken bits are superglued into place! Although the phone itself is in perfect condition so maybe it’s just doing its job.

Extends battery wonderfully, but impeded reception on mine

This extended battery life very well on my iPhone 6, but I started missing about half my calls.

    Died after just 3 weeks

It was great for a short while. The battery power lasted long and the shape of it was more manageable that that of Mophie. However, within 3 weeks the battery just died; not charging at all, the little orange light inside does not flash up; dead.

Some good points, but beware - especially durability!

First off, this case now means my phone will last through the whole day, regardless of what I do with it. This is a big improvement as I no longer have to carry a charger around with me (but perhaps highlighting the issues with normal iPhone battery life).
It also helps protect the phone - I'm sure it's saved the screen from a few cracks.

There are quite a few niggles which may be more or less significant depending on how you use your phone:
    - it adds weight and bulk to the phone. No biggie for me as I have big pockets
    - the headphone socket has become unusable for all but apple healdphones. This is because it is elongated and so most 3.5mm jacks do not for.
    - the 'continuously charging' nature of the case means it will diminish the capacity of your phone battery, not least because it rarely is fully discharged now. Following about a year of use of this case, My iPhone battery capacity fell to under 50% of what was expected. Apple eventually replaced the iPhone battery when I complained.
    - the case rubber around the corners wears through, cracking and fraying. Apple again replaced the case when I complained, but adds hassle.

All in all, this case is a reluctant necessity, given I need my phone to last, but I just wish it were better than this.

    Much better than first thought....

Having abstained from this product for the last year I now realise that was a mistake. I already have a separate Mophie charger but remembering to charge it and take it with me was becoming an issue. The smart charger is not as "bulky" looking on the phone and feels good. It's sturdy and well wearing (I have the black) and all functions work as they should, with exception of the authentic apple dock stand. Combined phone and smart case the battery keeps you going all day despite the case not holding a full iPhone battery charge.
If you are looking for a great quality easy to use and monitor external battery case Apple have done a good job, don't let the "bump" put you off, all things considered it really is not quite as noticeable as you might think.

    Good However....

The case is good but for the price of wear and tear its not worth the money. The silicone easily breaks.

    Rubbish silicon shell

    Bad:
The silicon falls apart like a skin of a dead man.
    Siri can't hear me.

    Good:
    Very protective and useful.

Purchase if you want a WORSE battery life

I purchased this case for a long trip to Newcastle, making sure I would have enough battery life to last me the entire trip. I left apple reading store thinking this is great I've got an awesome case here, and yes that's true in some aspects. The case has protected the phone from a few small drops! But in theory it's completely wrecked my original battery. I have only had the phone 4-5 months now and the battery lasts me a total of 1 hour max after the case is drained! DO NOT BUY!

Apple, you really need to change the design is this case ASAP. We need to be able to turn the charger off through either the case it's self or the phone so we don't have to RUIN our battery life on our original phones.. not happy with the result this case has given me....

    Headphone Jack Compatibility

If you are using a headphone with an L-shaped jack (for example, Bose) than you have to switch to a different brand with a straight jack (like Beats) or a bluetooth headphone.

    Most of the way there

    This case is pretty good.
It does exactly what you want - pretty much doubles the life of your iphone on the move.
It has some unexpected benefits - much nicer to hold than the (slippery) standard iPhone and the ios integration is handy.
It has a few issues - the corners of mine got rub damage pretty quickly and it's hardly what you'd call beautiful. Headphones are an issue. I now need an ugly jack extender for my Dr.Dre's when not using bluetooth.

After 6 months mine started to go wrong, most likely the pass-through lightning jack. However replacement was immediate and no hassle so I have no complaint.

    Back to Square 1

After having my iphone 6 for around a year, the inevitable happened. My battery began draining faster than a bath when you pull out the plug. Tired of seeing my precious battery wash down the drain day in day out, rendering my £630 iphone as useful as a chocolate teapot, I decided to purchase this case.
What a good decision that was.. for 6 months. At first I was enjoying days of no battery worries at all. I could make it through a full day and still be left with 100% battery. 7 months down the line however it's a completely different story. I feel as though I need a battery case for my battery case. The case is empty after 4 hours, leaving my phone, now worse than it already was due to the constant charging that this case subjects it to, to fend for its self. If i'm lucky i'll get 3 hours out of it.

I'm pretty sure I could have replaced the battery for less than what i bought the same for.. Don't buy!

It's extremely handy , especially if you need to be out for the whole day.

I have the iPhone 6s and the battery still runs out pretty quick, so when connecting it to my Apple Watch the battery died in less than 6 hours - which is terrible considering I'm usually out for about 8+ hours everyday. The only problem I have with the case is that I want to be able to put the case on without having the charge my phone whilst it isn't on a battery percentage lower than 20. When you put the case on it immediately charges it when not necessary. It means you have to bring two cases - unless of course there is a way to turn it off and on that I do not know about? Anyways it's a great product £79 is worth it and both apple and beats earphones can connect to it perfectly fine.

    Can't live without it

Ok so this doesn't get 5 stars because let's face it the iPhone should have been made to last longer than my burrito bowl at lunchtime. - Life isn't perfect and we love our iPhones but hate the lamentable battery life. So along comes this large and fairly heavy battery thing. My wife bought it for my birthday. I put it on the phone and thought ' it's heavy as - forget it i'm going to exchange it for the nice tan leather case apple make'. But then I realised I'd already had 2 of those nice leather cases and they break and fall apart after only a few weeks. So i charged the phone and this case and thought let's try it out.

WOW. What can I say. A modern miracle! I can eat my burrito. Then have donuts at 3pm. And my iPhone 6 is still going. I'm still rocking a hefty charge! Then chicken and rice for dinner (because i'm into bodybuilding) and unbelievable. The iPhone is refusing to go to sleep.

So what can I say. It's a great accessory and you won't worry about charging your iPhone during the day, ever.

    Great accessory for iPhone

When using my iPhone as a mobile hotspot on and off through the day I'd be lucky to get 6-8 hours worth of battery life. Now, I can travel long distances without the bother of charging it off my laptop, hoping the train has a socket, or by carrying round an extra battery pack for it...

Fortunately I use Apple headphones anyway, so that isn't a problem, although I will no longer be able to use a separate pair that I have as a backup!

    Does what it says...

A nice case, it's a little on the heavy and bulky side, but what do you expect from a case with a battery in it. The main thing is I can easily get through the day now with battery!

The headphone socket at the bottom means I can no longer use my earphones when listening to music as there's a good 1cm before you reach the phone jack, so bear that in mind.

The case itself charges pretty quickly, and as some have mentioned in other reviews the phone battery does go down a little with the case battery, but the phone then soon charges back to 100% from the case battery so don't worry about that.

Works, but it's just not for me

While the case works very well, and the iOS integration is quite swell, this is just too much of an inconvenience for what is honestly a problem with the iPhone itself. The hump doesn't sit well in my hand, it pretty much doubles the weight of the phone, and adds almost an inch of length at the bottom. The headphone jack doesn't fit any other headphones than the Apple ones, and the jack feels very uncomfortable against my pinky. The bezel around the phone is also a lot thicker than with the normal silicone case. Overall it just makes the phone very bulky and hard to get a proper grip on. A better internal battery would have been preferable, but this is going back to the store.

    Nice slim case.

When i opened the box i noticed how slim and light weight the case is. i normally plugged my phone in after work ,but no need with this case fitted ,it easily lasts to bed time with very heavy use.it feels great in the hand also and in my opinion looks nice and slick.it is expensive for a battery case but a must have for heavy users.just hammer your phone all day for videos, music, surfing and games with no worry of running out of juice..

Does not accept Bose headphone jack

I only just fitted this case and can confirm it feels really nice, fits well, and immediately started to charge the phone.

Sadly, I have three pairs of different Bose headphones, all bought from Apple stores, and none of them fit through the hole in the bottom of the case. This is a serious flaw and a massive disappointment.

My Bowers and Wilkins headphones do fit.
