    It does fit

    • Written by Georgia E from Horncastle

The cover seems to overlap the edges only when you use the cover on its own because it’s made to be used with the case that matches it, otherwise it wouldn’t fit with the case as well.

    Bring back full leather covers

    • Written by Ranjan C from Reading

This cover is useless. It hangs over and constantly falls off as the magnet isn’t strong enough.
My old full leather one on the old iPad mini was superb. This one is poor.

Bring back the full leather covers for the whole range of iPads please Apple.

Purchased for my iPad 4 on 20 January 2016 from the Apple Store. The seam at the hinged side has split open. Not something I would expect from an Apple product. Wouldn't recommend it.

do not buy this case! It isn't an actual fit for the iPad, it is to big and it hangs off. the magnet is very strong and doesn't hold the iPad, the case is flimsy and doesn't stay on the product at all it just slides around, and one of the main reasons i brought the case. for the landscape mode. doesn't work, it just falls out of position, if i were you i wouldn't buy this. Big Mistake. disgusted in Apples normal quality products!

This is my second iPad mini and second smart cover. The new smartcovers for the Mini 4 are too big. They overhang and there is too much slack on the hinge. Very poor from Apple.

We also have an iPad Air which has a full leather cover. I wanted the same for our new iPad mini 4, but Apple haven't produced them. Instead I had to pay extra, (and being Apple it's not cheap), for a front and separate rear cover.

The rear cover alone doesn't fully protect the unit because the side is taken out to make room for the front cover attachment. The front cover is forever accidentally being pulled off because it's only held on by a magnet on the side. So for me, it's a very expensive product which is not fit for purpose.

The only positive is the quality of the material used. Hopeless!

    Doesn't fit properly

    • Written by Michael A from LOUGHBOROUGH

I'd had a smart cover on my 1st gen iPad mini and it sat flush with the iPad and the edges aligned perfectly. On this new iPad Mini 4 smart cover, it neither sits flush or fits properly, it seems the hinge rubber is too long and that the cut out for the smart cover itself is a little bit too big for the iPad... The result, it hangs over the open edge, not something i'd expect from the normal precision accuracy of Apple Products.

I hope it gets better with time, but still, its gonna annoy me.
