Good, But Bundled Cable Not Compatible With Latest MacBook Pros

    • Written by Simon H from Hertford

Nice design and I personally like the feel and responsiveness of the keyboard. However...

The keyboard comes bundled with a Lightning to USB cable but unfortunately the latest MacBook Pros only ship with USB-C sockets! Given that I've just spent £99 on the keyboard, slightly aggrieved that I have to pay an additional £25 for a cable so that I can charge the thing!

    Buyers beware.

A great replacement to the original keyboard that came with my iMac.

I purchased this new Magic Keyboard as my current one was getting a little worn. I waited for a few months after it had been released to see what other people were saying about it and after reading many reviews I could not find many bad ones about it so I thought I would give it ago and am very happy and pleased that I did.

Using this new Magic Keyboard with my iMac has mad typing so much nice and quicker experience. The new design of the keys on the Magic keyboard are so much nice and smoother to type with than the keys on the standard keyboard that came with my iMac.

The angle of the new Magic Keyboard is far better to and feels more natural when using it.

I've given this new Magic Keyboard a 4 start rating out of 5, this is manly because when I first got it and was setting it, I ran in to a few problems. The instructions that come with it are very simple to follow which I did but after doing so the keyboard had not correctly connected to my iMac. I tried again and still nothing. In the end I had to contact Apple care who helped me sort out this issues. This was and has been so far the only downside to this product, everything else is perfect and I am very happy and pleased that I purchased it.

    Worth the money.

My view has changed from 1 star to 4

Just brought magic keyboard to use with my iPad. No indication of battery status on keyboard and the instructions only explain how to get the information using an Apple Mac. Thoughts were to bring it back, however, I found that if you switch on your iPad and pull down on screen to see notifications, go to edit and move battery from widgets to notifications your will be able to see the battery status for your magic keyboard. RESULT...please be patient as it didn't happen instantly but on checking 10 minutes later I now have a view. I have now decided to keep my keyboard. Missed out on 5 stars because there should be an indicator on the keyboard. Come on Apple most electrical items have an indicator!!!! The Magic Keyboard is light and if you touch type, great to use. Nice to hear every key. Can type at the desk, dinner table even on my lap whilst watching telly. If you can't afford a Mac but have an iPad this is great. Applying for jobs is easier. You know that bit on the application that ask you why you want the job...now I can type quicker using my MAGIC KEYBOARD. Unlike the smaller keyboards that also act as a cover for the iPad, I know I can use my magic keyboard with the next new iPad I decide to buy. Some of the other keyboards (which are not made by Apple) can only be used up to iPad 3. Loving my new Magic Keyboard.

    Great extra keyboard

Reading some of the other feedback online about this keyboard, I was not sure if it was right for me to buy replacing my old wired Apple keyboard that has failed. It lasted over 10 years though! I went ahead and bought this new Magic Keyboard, and I love it! From the font type to the sensation from tapping the keys. Typing becomes faster and less of an effort. I am happy with my purchase. I would have given it five stars if the price had been a bit more attractive.
