Replaced 3 in one year !

    • Written by Tala B from London

The ones I bought with my iPhone 7 lasted almost year and a half and they worked just fine until the right side stopped working. Since then I’ve had to replace them three times and each time it barely lasts 2 months! Everytime it’s the same thing; the right side stops working. I use them frequently but I take good care of them and don’t use them while exercising so that they don’t get wet. And yet they keep breaking. Very disappointing!

    Emm..

    • Written by Alanis M from Edinburgh

I did like them but they ended up breaking within 6 or 7 mounts.. I’m seeing reviews of other people’s ones lasting up to 2 years but I don’t know if you should believe them. It’s up to you if you want to buy these but I think AirPods would be better if your looking for longer lasting earphones.

Broke within in a couple of months

    • Written by Arfon R from Haydock

The volume adjustment buttons just don't work at all and occasionally sound does play. I came on here to look for another pair and for this price it is not worth it since it will break in 1 - 2 months.

    Apples standard ear pods

    • Written by David S from Lincoln

The standard issue ear pods are a joke. You pay upwards of £600 for a decent iPhone and it comes with these pods that won’t even stay in your ears.
The weight of the hands free and skip track buttons pulls the pods right out of your ear with the slightest of movements. A simple test of these EarPods would have illuminated the problem and the design changed. It’s pretty obvious it’s a weight issue and by spreading it a little more could of helped rather than putting it all on the right hand side (hands free buttons) which pulls out of the ear constantly with the slightest head movent.
No good for the gym or a bike ride or pretty much anything that involves moving your head.overall a Poor accessory and not tested correctly
Considering the price tag of these phones you would of exspected a little more from the one main accessory needed to listen to music.

    Sound quality is quite bad.

    • Written by Keir C from Southend

In direct comparison with both the Air Pods and the standard 3.5mm jack Ear Pods, the sound quality of these headphones is terrible.
They continuously slip out of the lighting port. This port was not designed to be used in conjunction with headphones!
Do not buy until Apple improve the product.

    Shockingly poor quality

    • Written by Diego M from London

These came with my iPhone Xs and on the first day of using I noticed that they, essentially, ‘disconnect’ from the iPhone whenever the base of the wire is nudged, even slightly. The quality of these is shockingly bad. Not what you would expect after spending so much money.

Sound quality is good BUT they stopped working after only 2 months of use! The same happened to an older pair! Not worth £30!!!

    Lasted 3 months

    • Written by Brynjar B from Edinburgh

As usual they started skipping/stopping songs, starting Siri etc after 2.5 months :( I don't think I've ever had a pair last longer than 3 months since I bought the Iphone 3!

I didn't understand why people hated them. They're cheap and they are still workin after 2 years. I am going to buy another pair just because I lost my old one.

    Terrible quality

    • Written by Yoana I from London

I've had these about 4 months and reading other reviews it seems like a miracle they've lasted this long. The sound quality is terrible and very low. A few days ago they started messing with audio; pausing, stopping and skipping what I was listening to and today the right one just died. Not thrilled about having to use the lightning connector instead either, as I refuse to repurchase these, but who's got a choice?

    Not worth the money

    • Written by Koby B from Cambridge

I got the original ones with my iPhone X and after couple of months one ear stopped working and the cable connection was also bad. I started using the adapter with my old earphones, but then after few weeks the adapter stopped working. This is defiantly not worth your money!
Since Apple changed the connector for the earphones you are ought to use their earphones or their adapter, which are both expensive and low quality. DON'T BUY!

Only use in case of Emergency

    • Written by Pedro L from Olhão

Came with my iPhone 7 and I have got to say these headphones are terrible! Besides the fact that's they are cheaply built has an experienced owner of apple EarPods I can guarantee this won't last, the sound is garbage with almost no middle, poor bass (if ever defined), no treble, rather low volume range, almost no effect from EQ and crisp sound. If you find yourself in a situation where you have no headphones resort to a Seinheiser, a Sony Bluetooth (49€) or if you are like me and don't care about cables try an de find a Monster Clarity 100 (59,90€) they are great, never have been disappointed by Monster (have been using on eu of their guitar cables for more than 2 years and is pristine new).

Apple Is Getting Very Sneaky and Low Quality

    • Written by Jessica L from FPO

I like the design of these earpods (great for small ears), yet they are of terrible quality and one ear always stops working (if the rubber around them doesn't peel first). Unfortunately, the rest of the electronics market seems to have completely ignored Apple's unnecessary attempt at "innovation" with these lightning inputs so I am forced buy another pr. of these overpriced earpods or buy an adapter JUST TO USE OTHER EARPHONES.

I don't understand why Apple decided to change to the lightning input other than to force people to buy extra adapters and stuff on top of the $$$ they've already paid for the original item. It would have been more impressive if they would just figure out how to prevent them from breaking/unravelling/ twice a yr but of course they won't.

    so not worth it...

    • Written by David H from Weston-super-mare

a pair of these came with my new iPhone 8. I genuinely care for my things so well, at the end of every day I would pack them away but only 2 months on and the right ear stopped working... I left it and just used my right one and then only a short month later the whole lot packed up. every time I used these for phone calls from day one I would get constant complaints about how quite and rubbish the audio was. To say disappointed would be an understatement.

Same old Apple EarPods. Lasted 6 moths before the left side stopped working. Properly wrapped after every use but still broke. I've paid £60 in just over a year for these and wont ever buy any again.

    Overpriced Failure

    • Written by Katelyn M from Otley

I went to my local apple shop to buy my headphones straight from the store. I thought that buying them directly from the source would mean that they were in good condition. I used the for 1 month when the sound suddenly cut out! The remote was working, the phone recognised they were there and there was no apparent damage. I tried them in my friends phone and had the exact same problem. The headphones are overpriced anyways let alone for them to stop working! I have no sound in these headphones so don’t buy them.

    They sound great!

    • Written by Colin C from London

Apple’s definitely right about these sounding better than the old 3.5mm ones. They’re a lot clearer, and have a deeper and richer bass as well. Also, the fact that it works with virtually all Apple products makes it even more practical than the old ones. These are definitely one of the best earphones in the world.

    So frustrating! Don’t buy these!

    • Written by Luisa W from london

Do not buy these headphones! I’ve gone through two pairs in the past 6 months, and they broke in exactly the same way.
The headphones would start randomly interfering with the pause, play and volume controls on music/podcasts and then the left ear would completely stop working. The headphones were only ever kept in a light bag and it can’t be a coincidence they broke in the same way twice. You’d be better off saving some money and buying a fake on eBay, it would probably last longer! Really disappointed, I got these with my new iPhone and when you pay a fortune for the phone you expect to get headphones with a shelf life longer than 3 months.
