My daughter is going to a film school (Tribeca Flashpoint Academy) in the fall, he needs a computer custom built for films. Any suggestions?

First of all, Congrats! I hope she has a great time. Second of all, I'm confused is it a he or a she? Either way (he or she) I'll convey to my "third of all" without any wit or clever wording. Nevertheless (perfect transition) I suggest that she/he pick up a Macbook Pro. I'm honestly not kidding or anything, pick up a Macbook Pro. I know I'm answering this question on the massively successful company's website that designed the laptop but still it's a fantastic product for film editing, screenwriting, and other et ceteras that deal with film. I'm trying my hardest not to come off as Justin Long in one of those Mac commercials and instead present myself as your friendly coffeehouse waiter who possesses white hair and who you occasionally seek advice to because I know my stuff and, well, gosh darn it, I'm just fun to talk to. (I mean, come on "Kathy C from Rochelle," why don't you just fall in love with me already? ["Friends" reference? No... Okay.) Anyway, as I was saying, from personal experience, the Macbook Pro seems to be the perfect product for all my filmmaking needs. If my endorsement isn't strong enough for you, then it's probably nice to know that Woody Allen also uses the Macbook Pro for editing his films too, that is if you like Woody Allen. If you don't like Woody Allen, then it's also nice to know that Roman Polanski also uses the Macbook Pro to edit his films. If you don't like Roman Polanski either, then I suggest you watch better films (just kidding, if you actually don't like Woody Allen or Roman Polanski for whatever reason) I also suggest you get "Final Cut Pro X" or "Avid Media Composer 7" as software, both pretty expensive but worth the price tag, I assure you. Again, this is just personal preference. Finally here's a website you might find more useful I can't put the URL down because apparently it's "Inappropriate text" so search for "udemy best film computer" and it should be the first link. I hope that helps.
