    iPhone 5s Case User

I use this case in day to day life, and I've had it for about half a year now. I have some pros and cons for this case. I'll start with cons, getting to the notification center can be a pain because the case rims over that. Anther con is that it is thick, It's about a centimeter thick. Those are my only complaints. The pros would be that it is waterproof and drop proof. Now don't go dropping it off the Empire State building but it protects from usual drops. I suggest this case for a clumsy person like me.

    Does not last

They changed the the material for the 5s case from that used in the 4s. My 4s case is still like new after 4yrs
The one for the 5s started to fall apart within a year. The mute button fell apart first then the front rubber started to peel off.

Not recommend unless they change back to the old material

Life proof Frè very disappointing for iPhone 6

I bought a life proof phone case because I work in the outdoors and it has been seen as 'the make to have'.

They are good that they let you replace them in the first year if they break.

However I have just had my third case break!! And now you have to pay to be able to put a claim in.

For the amount of money you pay for them I do not feel that you should have to pay for due to a error with their case.

    Don't bother

This is Over! I'm on my third case. Paid for two. I never got a year out of one yet. Try to make a case and everyone from Colorado is super nice...like they been on the reef since 7am...no problem. But when it comes to the actual product performance and quality, it's all false advertising. I'm done with life proof!! Fudge them and their little dog too! Oh they're web support needs help too.

    Worst purchase I've ever made

Easily the worse and most infect $100 I have ever spent. The head phone jack cover broke the first day I had it. Can't hear anyone when trying to have a phone conversation, or vise versa. Defeats the purpose of having a phone when you can't have a conversation, or have to take the case of just to have a measly conversation. Called life proof and they offered me a new case, now why would I want the same POS case..???? Seriously don't buy

Shattered my phone in a Lifeproof case

I am a klutz. I drop my phone at least once a day. I've had my Lifeproof case for 6 months, and never once had any damage issues, until today. I was in a target when I bent down and had my phone fall out of my pocket. It was in the case, so I didn't worry. But an hour later when I finally checked my phone, I found that the screen had completely shattered within the case. When I called lifeproof, they offered to send me a new case for free (to further protect my already destroyed phone) Needless to say, I do not recommend lifeproof cases to anyone- save yourself the money and buy an Otterbox.

    False advertising!!

Bought my case in January. Today the end of my phone rested in about 2" of water for about 20 minutes & water got in the case. The packaging says "Submersible 2 meters for 1 hour". All the company is offering is to replace the case because they believe it may be faulty. That doesn't do me much good when I don't have a working phone. I posted on Facebook what happened to my phone & the company's response. Two others had similar experiences. I'm gonna call the company out on false advertising. They give people a false sense of security!!!

All I have to say is this case is supposed to be life proof, it fell out of my bag at work and it shattered even with the case on correctly.

    Punkcase waterproof iPhone cases

Punkcase waterproof cases create internal squealing during conversations caused by sound vibrations of the properly operating phone speaker. This is a significant design flaw creating an unusable iPhone.

Great case for 3 years now!

My spouse and I used each used one of these cases on our phones FOR OVER THREE YEARS. Here's what we loved.
    - Being able to touch the screen without a stinkin' screen protector in the way!
    - Waterproofing: I take my phone on all my runs, even when it's raining and I never had liquid get to the phone in 3 years!
    - Drop protection: My partner and I have dropped our cases ALOT and we never had physical damage in 3 years!

    Some tips:
    1. Test the case's waterproofing before you use it. If it doesn't work, exchange it at the Apple Store or online.
    2. Watch a video on how to install the phone (otherwise you might install it wrong, which can make it difficult for people to hear you during phone calls).
    3. Remove the case to clean it and redo the water test every now and then (so that you know it's still doing it's job). If it stops working during the warranty, then call LifeProof. They're great with exchanges and returns.
    4. As always, keep your receipt.

(I find that just about every bad review of this case if the result of people not doing 1-4.)

    Best. Case. Ever.

I've had my iPhone for a year now. Just replaced the case (didn't NEED to but my husband suggested I get the replacement which costs $5 for shipping always) ... I really don't understand how anyone can give this case a bad review. I've dropped this thing HUNDREDS of times. On the tile at work. On my floor at home. Literally just dropped it on the cemement of my driveway. Every time I pick it up, it's perfectly fine. I just got a smart phone a year ago and as someone who drops it constantly because I'm clumsy, it's the best case. EVER. I work with coffee and spill liquid on it... fine. Drop it at least once a week on a hard surface... fine. This case is everything without the bulk and has been a blessing for me and my clumsy smart phone life so far.

    don't buy it

The head phone jack would not open. I used pliers to get that open. You can't access the volume button to control the silencer. Once its on forget about accessing the charger port. I have not been able to open that port at all. I have tried everything. They suggest using a coin, thats laughable. Sure its very durable but my phone will be long dead before I even am able to charge it again. Worst $90 I have ever spent. Do not make the same mistake, take the hint every review is basically terrible.

    Works well.

As anticipated, this is a very thick case. It does an excellent job at protecting your phone from those everyday drops, knocks and accidental toilet or sink incidents through being water proof. However, I've experienced a few scratches on the side of my phone which I thought I'd be protected from.

    Awesome case

Great case, was just up on my roof and I hit my phone on my knee and it flew out of my hand down my whole roof then free fell about 12 feet before hitting the concrete. I was scared so I did look right away but my phone is in perfect condition still :D

Call quality poor, broken at 1 yr 10 months, but was waterproof

Had the case for 1 yr 10 months and the film covering the home button is now torn. I had a love/hate relationship with the case. It's the best waterproof option out there for daily use, but people complained about the call quality and while it lasted almost 2 years, I looked at their warranty and it looks like they won't cover the damage since it's past 1 year. Hate to spend $$ on a new one but don't plan on getting a new phone anytime soon either since I can't afford an update. I work around water a lot too so I need a waterproof cover, ruined my previous iphone without one. The film covering the home button wouldn't work well for the finger print reader either. I'm between giving it 3 or 4 stars. 3 because I hope they further improve their product and warranty.

BEST CASE for iPhone SE protection from extreme conditions: PROVEN!

--Apparently, most of these reviews are either trolls, or are just extremely misinformed!--

This case is so good, you would almost think Apple designed it.
Sleek, solid, reliable, rugged, ergonomic, and even intuitive.

I manage a vehicle prep/detail/WASH crew at a large auto dealership, and I'm constantly doused with a barrage of water, acidic chemicals, soap, oil, wax, dirt, and salt in either the harsh wet/rocky/warm/cold/hot/seacoast climate of Maine, or the "i-perilous" rough, wearing, grimy, greasy, & wet service shop. All the while, keeping my phone in my back pocket, I climb in-and-out of truck seats and truck beds (I actually bent an iPhone 5 in a basic case in this scenario). The Lifeproof Nüüd, (and i have owned nearly ALL the major "mil-std" cases for various iOS devices, including the Lifeproof Fré version for the 5/5s) is the ONLY one that I have owned which, I feel, is able to completely protect my phone. I recently vacationed in Jamaica, and was even able to take several underwater videos of my daughter learning to scuba in the pool. This case has literally allowed me to take my iPhone swimming with dolphins in a salt-water lagoon.
My phone still looks and operates like new.

For those of you, like me, who DESPISE using the iPhone with ANYTHING standing between my fingers/eyes and the glass Retina "touch"-screen surface, THIS CASE IS FOR YOU!

(COOL 'WORKING-PROFESSIONAL' HINT--the translucent back cover allows you to display your business card/photo, etc on the back of the phone!)
