    Lasted long

My MacBook is from 2014 and my charger barely started wearing down about six months ago.. I took care of my charger by making sure I didn't bend it right where it connects to the computer and it lasted me three years. Expensive but one can make it last

What are people doing to their power cords to make them rip?

I love this power cord and wish that Apple would return to something similar. The ability to flip out the corners to wrap the cord around it is genius, and the fact that everything folds up into a compact cube is so convenient. I have the original one that came with my late 2013 MacBook Pro and it is only just now showing signs of wear. My only complaint is that the cord turns grey over time because it gets dirty but in terms of functionality and reliability it has never failed. Considering that mine is five years old and I am only just now thinking of replacing it should be telling to anyone looking at buying it. It will last. The people who are complaining about it breaking have to be abusing it. I travel a lot, wrap mine up and unravel it a lot, throw it in the bottom of my bag and toss it in the back of my car a lot. There is nothing wrong with it save that of the dirt. If you take care of your things this cord will work great. I wish Apple would reintroduce the ability to fold out corners to warp up the cords.

    Why the negative comments?

This Magsafe 2 charger which originally came with my Macbook Pro 2014 is still in 100% working order. It has not yellowed, chipped, frayed, or disassembles in any way possible. The magnet after over 3 years of snapping on and off, mainly due to my huge german shephard, is still just as reliable as when we first purchased it. My expectations were exceeded and I recommend this product who has a computer with a Magsafe 2. This may only be comparable with the 13 inch macbook pro. Check your Macbook to see if this is the right charger for yours. Click the apple in the upper left hand corner and click "About this Mac". It will show you your computer info if you hit the more information button. I hope this helps everyone who needs it!

    No problems

I bought a refurbished Macbook Pro 3+ years ago, so I don't know if the power adapter was new or the original. Whatever I have has worked for me, and I have no complaints.

I don't see why everyones' upset

I've had the same charger since buying my Macbook back in 2013 and I might have to buy a new one because after years of being run over (accidentally) by my chair its getting a little too wrapped in electrical tape to really be portable. I would like to know what everyones doing to have the cables break so quickly, as mine has been in and out of bags for years now. It has held up well and is still going strong.

    Top Notch - Zero Issues

Totally blown away at the negative reviews on here. I'm looking to buy a second charger for my wife so she can leave one at the office and one at home. We own 4 macbooks... 15" 2015 MacBook Pro Retina, 13" 2015 MacBook Pro Retina, 13" 2013 MacBook Air and my old 2011 15" MacBook Pro. All still use the original magsafe chargers that came with them at purchase... All work perfectly with zero issues.I have never experienced fraying, dry-rotting, or any mechanical or electrical issues. Clearly the majority of users are ABusers.

    Best power cord ever.

I love how the cord pops off and does not hurt my Mac one bit. Other computers you have to be careful not to pull cord the wrong way or PC will break but not with the one we have on the Macbook. Great job Apple, I miss Steve

The Only Charger You'll Ever Need

Most of the reviews on this charger are negative, but I promise, if you treat this charger well, don't chew on it, and don't throw it places, it will last you a long time. I've had the charger that came with my MacBook Air for almost 2 years now and there is not a scratch. It's actually still really white. Treat your stuff well and it will last you for a very long time.
