      Does not support scan

I have this printer and when I updated to OS Sierra the scan to computer function does not work. I have a work around way to scan to my computer, but sometimes I have this printer and when I updated to OS Sierra the scan to computer function does not work. I have a work around way to scan to my computer, but sometimes I have to restart the printer and the computer several times to get it to work. I don't ever shut my Mac down just let it sleep, and when it goes into sleep mode the scan function drops. I may have to return this printer for another if they don't have a full feature update soon. HP support took over my Mac to try and resolve this issue and finally told me that I need a full feature installation update , and that I would have to wait for that. I will wait until the ink runs out and then I will return it. If you are considering this printer I would look for one that supports OS Sierra.

      Not Fully Ready for iMac

Bought this printer to replace an older Officejet that broke. It works fine except the scan to computer option or should I say lack of it. No matter what I do Bought this printer to replace an older Officejet that broke. It works fine except the scan to computer option or should I say lack of it. No matter what I do or have done it tells me "software could not be found". DUH!!!! There is no software from HP to install! What really stinks is that HP doesn't actually tell you this. They suggest using the HP Easy Scan App (which is only compatible with 10.10 or higher). So a several hours later after upgrading from OS X 10.8 to 10.12 so I could install the HP Easy Scan App, I still could not scan to computer and got the same "software could not be found" message. So frustrating!! I spent a whole afternoon trying to get this to work without any success. Thanks HP for wasting my valuable time!
