Excellent tool for your iPad Pro

I have been waiting for Logitech or Brydge to release their keyboards for the 3rd gen iPad Pro 12.9" (Surprised it has taken this long.) I ordered this as soon I have been waiting for Logitech or Brydge to release their keyboards for the 3rd gen iPad Pro 12.9" (Surprised it has taken this long.) I ordered this as soon as I saw it was available and Apple had it to me the next day. Yes, it is super easy to pair (pairs like any normal blueooth device) Feels solid, does add a good bit of bulk but not bad and this complete protects your iPad so I am good with the bulk. Typing feels great on this keyboard, I had the Apple keyboard for my 11" iPad Pro and it certainly left alot to be desired. It got the job done for sure but just didn't have that tactical feel we all like in keyboards. The backlight isn't super bright, but is just enough so you can use it in a darker space. The shortcut keys are quick and work as expected and are very convienent to have. I think I'll enjoy this keyboard quite alot as I transition to using my iPad Pro more. Ideally I'd like to get away from dragging my laptop around when I travel and be able to stick with using my iPad Pro and I think this keyboard is certainly going to help with that transition.

      Excellent case!

While both of those options had their highlights (Ap I’ve tried lots of “premium” cases for my 12.9” iPad Pro, including Apple’s Smart Keyboard and Zugu’s case. While both of those options had their highlights (Apple’s case being slim and minimalist, Zugu’s having a great kickstand), there was frustrations. Apple’s lack of protection was annoying and Zugu’s overall design didn’t appeal to me. Enter Logitech’s case. First off, let’s address the 1,000 lb. gorilla in the room: this will add weight and bulk. If you’re an uber minimalist, look elsewhere. But for someone who appreciates simplicity (and even minimalism), my sensibilities are not offended by this case. It’s not difficult to carry around and it’s not cumbersome in any of the ways I use the iPad (e.g. typing in landscape, writing with the pencil in landscape or portrait, or reading with the back cover folded behind the iPad in landscape or portrait). There was a review of the 11” that stated that having the iPad down in landscape mode for writing (with the keyboard face-up, not down) made it a little less stable on the sides of the iPad. I haven’t done extensive tests on this, but I didn’t find this to be the case for the 12.9” model I’ve been using. Secondly, the protection is top-notch. The bumpers protect the corners and they seem to be ready to do the job of protecting my precious if needed. The power/sleep button and volume buttons are a bit impeded but there are alternatives for volume and locking the iPad on the Folio’s keyboard. Pro tip: holding down the lock button on the keyboard will invoke Siri, but for Apple Pay, you still have to use the power/sleep button on the iPad. Thirdly, and perhaps most importantly, is the keyboard. This thing rocks. If you like the feel of Apple’s pre-butterfly keyboard, you’ll be in heaven. I personally don’t have any issues with the butterfly keyboard on the laptops, but if you want a bit more key travel, you’ll love this. Again, the closest comparison I can make is the 2015-era MacBook keyboard. The backlight is nice and a bit aggressive in turning off, but that’s not a big deal really. I get that battery life is drained faster with it on. A couple last things the might be of interest: The outer material is the same shade of gray and has the same feel as Apple’s Smart Keyboard and Smart Cover. This thing looks and functions like it’s made by Apple. The Pencil flap is well thought-out and implemented. It protects the pencil and has a little slot for added protection (for the pencil or a different stylus). All in all this, this is what I’ve been looking for for months. I haven’t tried every keyboard case, but I’m hard pressed thinking that there’s anything out there that provides the protection, functionality, look, and feel that this one does.

      Better than I Imagined!

I I upgraded recently from the 10.5 iPad Pro, to the 12.9 iPad Pro. As much as I love the experience with the larger iPad, I felt like it was missing something. I saw this keyboard and figured I’d order it and try it out. From the minute I took it out of the box, it has been a joy to use. The keys feel 10,000 times better than the keyboard that Apple put out. The keys remind me of using a larger, older keyboard, as they have a great feel to them. The backlit keys are not super bright, but bright enough. This definitely ads a little heft to carrying this thing around with me, but its not heavier than the Otterbox Defender I had on the iPad before this. If you use the keyboard for any extended period of time, I would tell you it is definitely worth giving this keyboard a chance!

It maybe bulkier and heavier than the apple one but because of all the bending issues this new iPad pro has you’re gonna wanna protect it with a harder and durable folio case and this case has it all. They kay travel is 10x better than the apple one. The backlit keyboard is really helpful if you’re typing on a dimmed room or darker areas. And the flap to secure both your apple pencil 2 and iPad when not used is such a great feature. And once again, you might want to protect your $1000 iPad, and this case does a way better job than the apple one.

The flap does not close well if you have the pencil inserted, hence this is useless. Moreover, the flap is annoying because it is flapping around on tp of the display every once in a while. Good idea, bad implementation.

      It’s a Good Keyboard

I watched some reviews on YouTube about this keyboard case before buying it and the reviews are true. The keys are very responsive and this keyboard case makes I watched some reviews on YouTube about this keyboard case before buying it and the reviews are true. The keys are very responsive and this keyboard case makes typing things up a total breeze. If you have to choose between this and the Brydge keyboard I’d choose this one, Why? Because Logitech is tried and true. They’ve been making Apple iPad Pro keyboards for a while now and whilst this doesn’t offer the variety of viewing angles the angle it does offer is fine, it has a backlit keyboard, it protects the iPad and it comes with a Apple Pencil holder so it doesn’t come off. All around for the price this is a good deal and it offers everything you need out of a iPad Pro keyboard. One thing that I’m interested in is with the upcoming release of iPadOS is if there will be new ones in the future that come with a track pad. I wonder this because iPadOS is going to have Bluetooth mouse support. We’ll have to wait and see but for now this is definitely one of the best choices available.
