iPads with "WiFi + Cellular" have built-in GPS. Can that GPS be used for nautical navigation apps if the cellular service is not activated?
I am purchasing an unlocked iPad (7th generation) that is "WiFi plus Cellular" but I may not activate the cellular service. I want to make sure that the built-in GPS will be able to be used for nautical navigation apps such as Navionics and Aqua Map if the cellular service is not activated.

Yes Aqua Map and Navionics will work without cell coverage. You have only to download the charts previously.
