Deaf in one ear - can you use one Pod at a time?

I'm deaf in my right ear. If I'm using only the left pod, will all the audio (both left and right channels) go to the left pod? Will I loose any functionality by using only the left pod? Thanks!

  • Yes. I too am deaf in one ear (my right is deaf), and both pods can be used in my one hearing ear. In one way it's great: 4 hours battery use of one, 4 more from the next as the other charges, equals never without sound. However, it's sometimes tricky getting the right pod to detect the shape my left ear, but since squeezing the sensor under the silicon covers is needed, I suggest you try inserting the opposite-ear pod upside down first so it senses the ear, then adjust so it feels secure.
