Then the metal piece that holds the leather clasp in place broke. I can live with that. Then the charging started to become less reliable. Ok, patience wearing thin. Then it stopped charging entirely. One year. Such a shame. Native Union offers a 1 year "limited" warranty and unfortunately, my cable fell just outside the window. There are good companies out there with customer service that stands by their product. Native Union is not one of those. Bottom line: Cheap and not in a good way. WASTE OF MONEY.

      Junk

I have had 3 cables from this company and all have broken or stopped working anywhere from 1 week to 3 months. I would not recommend this product.

      Terrible buying! 0 star!

It takes several tries to start charging my phone and gets worse. So I contacted Native Union for a repair, they told me they can send me a replacement and 2 days later they emailed me that I have to cut the cable first and send them the photo before they start processing the replacement as per a NEW STANDARD PROCEDURE that I could not find on their website. What a joke! Will never buy anything from that company. If you choose to send it back to them for repair/replacement, the warehouse is located in Hong Kong and the shipping is really costly. Also, they will not do anything until they receive the cable. Super time consuming as well! Buying a Apple brand cable will be a better idea and saving money. Stay away from Native Union.

The problem does not stem from my phone or my power outlet as I used a family member's Apple cable in the same outlet and it is working fine. Will be returning later today. Avoid this product at all costs and stick to the Apple cable. Frustrating that this $30.00 product is sold in official Apple stores as I've had more reliability with cables bought from a street vendor in Barcelona for $2.00.
