There are no cosmetic differences from what I can tell, but the audio (to me) is noticeably different. Much clearer and the switching between my iWatch and iPhone is seamless. Before it required turning them off and on and other unpairing/pairing options. I can't say if the one thing that has plagued my other two pairs has been fixed or not: The hinge. I take care of my electronics and they get charged every night, but gym use takes its toll. I've replaced the headband on the other pairs so many times that I lost count. Time will tell. These are expensive, even for a techie like me, but I don't buy them for the name. I like the bluetooth connectivity, the clear audio, and the noise cancelling. The over-ear works for me for comfort so to each his own. Whatever they did inside more than makes up for what they didn't on the outside. I would have liked to see a lightning or USB-C charging port, but hey maybe for Studio4.

I listen to a lot of rap so the base fits in great and the noise canceling was decent from it being my first time using the feature. Beats studio 3 is a well upgrade to them, i can actually notice the upgrade in sound quality and the base hasn’t really left. The noise canceling is more noticeable this time around and that A1chip is pretty neat. I have a Apple ecosystem so going from watch to iphone to macbook with a click is pretty convenient. Then last the battery seems to last literally a full day of use. Really appreciate the update to a classic.

They will break on you. Not worth it. Go with Bose!

It is not a problem with the chord, but the headphones themselves seem to stop charging. It first started with having to place the headphones in a very very specific charging position, but after a month or two this wouldn't even do the trick anymore. So they worked for a few months, but I will now have to buy a new pair, and if they worked I would buy them again, but I don't want to shell out $350 every year for headphones. At that price point, they shouldn't die within the first year of purchase. I'm switching to Bose.

      Painfull

Purchased these yesterday, returned them today. Never owned a pair of expensive headphones,to be honest I'm not a fan of them usually as my ears get too hot Purchased these yesterday, returned them today. Never owned a pair of expensive headphones,to be honest I'm not a fan of them usually as my ears get too hot and I much prefer just using speakers. However I am soon to be working in an office environment where I will be required to use the things. I was relatively happy with the quality of the product, they looked nice, I'm not a massive audiophile so sound quality I felt was good, but no better then £60 pairs I've had, at least not to my primitive ears. One major disappointing thing is that these don't even have the correct cable for a Mac book pro , c'mon apple sort that out..... Now onto the reason I returned these after 1 day. (I should say I could only use the headphones for about 10 - 20 minutes). I opened the box, turned them on, paired them etc. As soon as I placed these things on my ears I could feel an odd , umcomfortable strange hard to describe. feeling. The earphones where emitting some sort of vibration noise (no music on at this point). I've no idea what this was I assumed it was maybe the noise cancellation , I turned that off via my IMAC but still it was there and it was starting to give me a headache/make me feel really uncomfortable. I tried turning some music on , this made them a little better (oddly) but still this was such an uncomfortable experience I just had to take the things off after maybe 10 mins or so. No way was I going to keep these at £300 , (more often then not I can put up with things) and when they are causing me pain/discomfort they just had to go. Won't ever buy the beats brand again, I'll stick to cheap headphones or just sit in silence , beats discomfort (no pun intended)

      ANC needs work

ANC is n I spent almost an hour comparing Studio3 to Bose QC35 II inside an Apple Store. I chose Beats for the seamless Bluetooth transfers to Apple products. ANC is not perfect and needs some work, especially for use on aircraft: - Embraer 175 seated behind wings, ANC worked - Boeing 737-700 seated behind wings, ANC worked - Bombardier CRJ700 - seated in last row, under engines, ANC failed. The ANC seemed to cycle from working about 40 sec to enhancing engine noise, especially in the left speaker, for 20 sec. Air nozzles also mess with the ANC, similar to wind complaints in other reviews. For the price, I wish the ANC performed better!
