Not directly as the iPad does not have a USB port. You can use a service such as Dropbox. Connect the thumb drive to a computer, transfer the desired data to your DropBox account. Dropbox synchronizes the data across all of your devices. Available in the App Store.

  • i saw a video on youtube where someone used the camera connection adapter to connect a flash drive to their iPad. they had some file browser and showed that their flash drive showed up in a folder somewhere like \var\mount1 and they could open files from their flash drive. I have not yet tested this.

  • Sadly, No. There isn't a direct USB port on the iPad to insert any files. They can be mailed to the iPad, or just installed directly to the iPad through iTunes depending on what you want to upload.

  • No, the ipad does not support data transfer from an external drive. The GoFlex Satellite drive from Seagate supports some data transfer to the iPad. You can put files onto the drive from a computer, and then access the files on the drive with an app on the iPad.

  • If you put it on iCloud via your computer through pages, but thumb drives don't work with iPads.
