I have a (late 2007/early 2008) white macbook Intel 2.2 upgraded to 4gb and with 500gb hard drive but original everything else. I am on Snow Leopard

  • No, the 2008 MacBook cannot run Mountain Lion as it needs better hardware to run well. (You don't want a super laggy computer)

    I'd recommend upgrading to a new Macbook Air which is $900. It is very fast and it will be supported for many many years on future OS's so you can upgrade each year for a long time!
