GarageBand for iOS is the most popular music creation app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. And it’s easy to see why. You can play, mix and record your own songs. Then share them — across the room or across the globe — with just a few taps. It’s never been so simple to create great music and get it out there.
The moment you launch GarageBand, you can start making music. There are hundreds of great-sounding loops and stunningly realistic Touch Instruments built in. Or you can plug in your own. You can even record other music apps into GarageBand or jam with friends on their iOS devices. It’s all right there at your fingertips.
Record. Arrange. Mix.
A full recording studio. To go.
A new, beautiful, more intuitive interface makes it easier than ever to capture your performance, fine-tune it and mix it down to a finished song. Build your songs with up to 32 tracks using Touch Instruments, audio recordings or loops. And edit single notes or entire song sections simply by dragging them where you want.
Share with a tap.
Release your song. Worldwide.
Your music deserves to be heard — everywhere. GarageBand lets you easily share your songs with friends, family or the whole Internet community via social networks. Or save your track as a custom-made ringtone. So whenever someone calls, your song rocks. You can even wirelessly share whole projects with someone near you, using AirDrop. It’s a great way to collaborate on song ideas.
Your all-access pass.
iCloud allows you to keep your GarageBand sessions up to date across all your iOS devices. It also lets you start sketching out a song idea on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, then import it wirelessly to your Mac to take it even further.
Using third-party musical instruments with GarageBand requires devices made for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
32 tracks are available on iOS devices with the A7 chip or later. 16 tracks are available on iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPad (3rd and 4th generation), iPad 2, iPad mini and iPod touch (5th generation).
GarageBand is free on the App Store for qualifying iOS 8–compatible devices with initial activation on or after 1 September 2014. See www.apple.com/my/ios/whats-new/ for iOS 8–compatible devices. Downloading apps requires an Apple ID.
