How I use Aperture
In his video, Jim Richardson, a National Geographic photographer for more than 25 years, describes how he uses Aperture to easily create “interesting and visually engaging” photo essays. For “The Celtic Realm,” Richardson imported, rated, and assigned keywords to 43,000 photos. Using Smart Albums, he effortlessly collected photos for each of his themes. And he used the Light Table to make final selects.

How I use Aperture

In this video, he uses a variety of adjustment tools to bring the most out of his images: Recovery and Black Point to recover lost detail; Vibrancy to add saturation without affecting skin tones; the Retouch brush to remove distracting elements; and Vignette for artistic effect.
