Apache 2.2.12
About Apache
The Apache Project is a collaborative software development effort aimed at creating a robust, commercial-grade, feature rich, and freely-available source code implementation of an HTTP (web) server. The project is jointly managed by a group of volunteers located around the world, using the Internet and the web to communicate, plan, and develop the server and its related documentation. These volunteers are known as the Apache Group. In addition, hundreds of users have contributed ideas, code, and documentation to the project.
Whats New in this Version
- Fix a potential Denial-of-Service attack against mod_deflate or other modules, by forcing the server to consume CPU time in compressing a large file after a client disconnects.
- Prevent the "Includes" Option from being enabled in an .htaccess file if the AllowOverride restrictions do not permit it.
- Fix a potential Denial-of-Service attack against mod_proxy in a reverse proxy configuration, where a remote attacker can force a proxy process to consume CPU time indefinitely.
- Many more enhancements.
