To take your Motion projects even further, download the Motion 2.0.1 update and registration incentive for Motion 2.0, which includes three new Motion filters.
To Download Updates:
- Sign in with your Apple ID.
- Enter your Motion 2 or Final Cut Studio serial number, then click the “Download” button.
- A page will appear which allows you to download the application updates.
Motion 2 Update Requirements

- 867MHz or faster Macintosh computer; not supported on Intel-based Mac computers with Rosetta
- 512MB of RAM (2GB or more recommended)
- Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later (Mac OS X v10.4.3 required for 16- and 32-bit float rendering and Core Image Unit support)
- QuickTime 7.0.2 or later
- Display with 1024 x 768 resolution or higher (1280 x 1024 resolution recommended)
