You don’t have to worry about keeping your devices in sync because iCloud does it for you. Or say there’s an app you bought way back when that you wish you had on your new iPod touch. iCloud lets you see your past downloads in one convenient place: your purchase history on the App Store. Since you’ve already purchased these apps, you can download them again — at no additional charge — to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.1

Books you never have to put down.

With iCloud, the best place to read is whichever device you have handy. As soon as you buy a new book from the iBookstore, iCloud automatically pushes it to all your other devices. Start reading on your iPad, highlight some text, take notes, or leave a bookmark, and iCloud automatically updates your iPhone and iPod touch, too. Once you buy a book, it appears in your iBookstore purchase history. From there, you can download it to any of your devices at any time. And it won’t cost you anything extra.1

You have all sorts of important stuff on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. iCloud automatically backs it up daily over Wi-Fi when your device is connected to a power source. Once you plug it in, everything is backed up quickly and efficiently. That’s because Backup is like everything else in iCloud: convenient and completely effortless.

Restoration that’s not a project.

When you set up a new iOS device or need to restore the information on one you already have, iCloud Backup does the heavy lifting. Just connect your device to Wi-Fi and enter your Apple ID and password. Your personal data — along with your purchased music, TV shows, apps, and books from iTunes — will appear on your device.2 If you’re an iTunes Match user, you can download your entire music library from iCloud.3
