You never know where they are or when they’ll turn up. You might have known them forever; you might not have met them yet. How many contacts are out there? Who knows. But iPad helps you find them, add them, and keep them all straight.
Names and numbers.
Faces and facts.
Friends, family, coworkers, clients, neighbors, doctors, dentists, friends of friends, people in your book club. This isn’t just a place for their names and numbers — it’s also a place for IM addresses, birthdays, anniversaries, websites, and anything else you know about everyone you know. Put a photo to a name so you can find someone fast. Add an email address and send a message with a tap. Or add notes and important dates to any contact. You can even set a reminder that’s saved to your calendar.
Your own who’s who.
Scroll through your contacts with a flick of your finger. Or use the built-in search feature to find a name. You can group your contacts — coworkers, babysitters, bandmates — so you can find them even faster. Turn iPad to landscape to see your contacts list and a single contact simultaneously. When you need directions, just tap an address inside a contact and iPad opens Maps. Your contacts show up in FaceTime, so it’s even easier to see your friends.
Stay very well connected.
iCloud makes sure all your contacts are up to date, everywhere you check them — your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC.* As soon as you add or update a contact, iCloud automatically makes the change on all your devices, so every address book you use is a perfect match. Contacts also works with Twitter. Just enter your account information in Settings, and Contacts will add your friends’ Twitter handles and profile pictures to your address book.
