Photos. A big moment for your big moments.

A European adventure. Kids, dogs, friends, significant others. A ridiculous dessert at a fancy new restaurant. Your photos deserve their day in the sun — or better yet, on your iPad.

The perfect frame.

Picture your photos on the beautiful iPad display. It’s 9.7 inches of all the brightness, contrast, and color they deserve. Flip through your photos one at a time, full screen. Or scroll through thumbnails by event or album. Photos appear as tidy stacks — just pinch to take a peek or tap to open. Wherever you are, you can pull out your iPad and bask in the glory of a life well lived. And even brag a little.

Your photos everywhere you want them.

With Photo Stream in iCloud, the photos you take are automatically sent to all your devices.1 So you can snap a picture with your iPhone or upload one to your computer, and in a matter of moments it’ll be on your iPad, too. You don’t have to sync, email, or transfer anything. Your photos are just there, ready to share. All you have to do is find an audience.

Works with iCloud

One-tap touch-ups.

A slight tweak here, a quick edit there. iPad lets you crop, rotate, enhance, and remove red-eye with some not-so-fancy finger work. So your photos look as good as real life.

Get ready for big oohs and aahs.

iPad is designed with your audience in mind. You can take your favorite shots and your favorite music and make a slideshow that’s way beyond a typical slideshow. With your own titles and fun transitions — and on an iPad, no less — there’s nothing ordinary about them. Use the Smart Cover (sold separately) to show everyone in the room. The iPad display uses IPS (in-plane switching) for a wide viewing angle, so they all get a great view.

Stream to an even bigger screen.

There’s another great place to see photos: your widescreen TV. AirPlay lets you stream photos wirelessly from your iPad to your HDTV via Apple TV.2 Just tap the AirPlay icon, and the photo you see on your iPad screen appears on TV, too. And with video mirroring and the Digital AV Adapter (sold separately), the photos on your iPad also appear on your HDTV or projection screen — even at the same time.

Your favorite faces.
Your favorite places.

iPad works with Faces in iPhoto for the Mac, so you can view your photos by who’s in them. When you want to see all the pictures of your friend, your more-than-a-friend, or your mom, tap their pictures in Faces view and open an album dedicated to them. And just like Places in iPhoto on the Mac, pins appear on a map wherever you’ve taken photos. Tap the pin on the UK to see your London trip. You can even focus on specific locations like Abbey Road or Big Ben.

“I want a copy of that photo.”

You’ll hear it all the time once everyone sees your photos on the best place there is to see photos. AirPrint makes it easy to print them wirelessly.3 Of course, you can always email or tweet your photos in just a few taps.
