Contacts. You’re really well connected

You’ve got a gigantic online social network for fun, work, and who knows what. You’ve got a real-life social network with your friends and family. And everyone else in between. Put them all on your iPhone and keep them all straight.

Names and numbers. Faces and facts.

Contacts isn’t just a place for names and numbers — it’s also for IM addresses, birthdays, anniversaries, websites, and anything else you know about everyone you know. Put a photo to a name so you can find someone fast. Add an email address and send a message with a tap. Or add notes and important dates to any contact. You can make a FaceTime video call from contacts, too. And see your friends and family crack up at your jokes.

Your own who’s who.

Scroll through your contacts with a flick of your finger. Or use the built-in search feature to find a name. Better yet, just tell Siri who you’re looking for and the name appears almost as fast as you say it. You can group your contacts — coworkers, babysitters, bandmates — so you can find them even faster. When you need directions, just tap an address inside a contact and iPhone opens Maps.

iCloud. Your contacts everywhere.

iCloud makes sure all your contacts are up to date, everywhere you check them — your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC.* As soon as you add or update a contact, iCloud automatically makes the change on all your devices, so your contacts are exactly the same in every address book you use.

*iCloud requires iOS 5 on iPhone 3GS or later, iPod touch (3rd and 4th generation), iPad, or iPad 2; a Mac computer with OS X Lion; or a PC with Windows Vista or Windows 7 (Outlook 2007 or 2010 or an up-to-date browser is required for accessing email, contacts, and calendars). Some features require a Wi-Fi connection. Some features are not available in all countries. Access to some services is limited to 10 devices.
