Giving and Receiving with iTunes

There are many ways to give iTunes gift cards and one place to go to redeem them if you're a lucky recipient. That place is the Quick Links section in the upper right corner of the iTunes home page, and the Redeem link (where you enter codes from any gift cards or certificates you receive) is at the top of the list. The Buy iTunes Gifts link just below it takes you to a page describing all the various ways you can give iTunes gifts, including Facebook if you choose.

If you choose to email a gift certificate to someone, they'll be able to redeem it directly by clicking a button in the email which will add the value to their iTunes account. (If they don't have an account they'll be helped through the process of setting one up.) You can also give particular songs, albums, movies and TV shows directly by clicking the the downward pointing triangle next to the Buy button and using the Gift This... option. (By the way you can also share your enthusiasm for particular music, movies and TV shows via Facebook and Twitter. Just click the downward triangles next to Buy buttons to choose.)
