Keeping Multiple iTunes Libraries on a Single Computer
If you share your computer with others and you each want your own individual iTunes library, hold down the option (on a Mac)/ shift (on a PC) key each time you start iTunes. You'll be given the opportunity to create a library or choose among those that have already been created. One suggestion: if you take advantage of this capability it's a good idea to get in the habit of quitting iTunes when you end your session with the computer. Doing so will make it less likely that one of your fellow sharers will accidentally add or delete music from your library or try to sync a device with the wrong library.
