Search On Your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

When you're on the main Home screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, press the Home button and you'll see a search field and your on-screen keyboard. Begin typing and results will appear from among your installed apps, music, and movies and more. Just tap the one you want to go to. Search lets you quickly launch an app or a song without having to hunt for it, and works for many other content types you have on your device as well. You can also bring up the search screen by simply swiping to the right when you're on the main Home screen.
