Apple Store Purchase Policies
Returns
For iPhone returns, please refer to the iPhone Sales Policy section below. For all other products, if you are not satisfied with your Apple purchase, return it with the original receipt and original packaging within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of purchase. If the item is returned unopened, in the original box, we will exchange it or offer a refund based only on the original payment method. Apple will mail a check within ten (10) business days for cash, cash equivalent, and cheque transactions over $250. Please note the following:
- Opened software, memory, and other media can be exchanged for the same item, but cannot be returned for a refund.
- Custom-configured products, including any personalized iPod, cannot be returned or exchanged.
- Purchases made using a lease are subject to the terms of your lease agreement and cannot be returned.
- Non-Apple products are sold by Apple "as is." Consult the manufacturer for warranty terms and conditions.
- Products can be returned only in the country in which they were originally purchased.
Note that, as an exception, you may return Apple branded software within the 14-day return period, and not be subject to a restocking fee, if you do not agree to the licensing terms, provided you do not retain any copies, including copies stored on a computer or other device and have not loaded the software onto a computer and used it. However, if your software includes a license that you can read before you break the seal or sticker on the software media packaging, you may not return the software once you break the software media packaging seal or sticker. In the event you have been charged more than the posted price for a product please see a Manager for a refund of any overcharge.
Holiday 2011 Return Policy
Items purchased at an Apple Retail Store between October 29, 2011, and December 25, 2011, may be returned with an original receipt or Gift Receipt through January 9, 2012. If the item is returned in the original box, with the original packaging, we will exchange it or offer you an Apple Gift Card. Refunds will be granted through January 9, 2012 only when an original purchase receipt is provided and will be based solely on the original method of payment.
This holiday return policy does not apply to iPhone or wireless service contracts. All other Apple Retail Store purchase policies apply and your statutory rights are not affected.
Purchase Orders
Purchases made using a purchase order are subject to "Net 30" terms.
Pricing
Should Apple reduce its price on any Apple-branded product within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of purchase, you may request a refund of the difference between the price paid and the current selling price. An original purchase receipt is required, and you must request your refund within fourteen (14) calendar days of the price reduction.
Export Notice
Apple products are subject to Canadian and foreign export control laws and regulations and must be purchased, sold, exported, reexported, transferred, or used in compliance with such export laws and regulations.
Gift Cards
For Apple Store Gift Card policies, please consult the back of your Apple Gift Card holder.
Gift Receipt Return Policy
Gift items purchased at a retail Apple Store can be returned with an original Gift Receipt within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of purchase. If the item is returned in the original box, unopened, with the original packaging, we will exchange it or offer you an Apple Gift Card equal to the purchase price of the gift, including tax and any other fees. All other standard purchase policies outlined above apply.
iPad Policies
In addition to all Purchase Polices stated above, the following additional policies apply to iPad sales:
- Wireless service for iPad is solely provided by and is the responsibility of your selected wireless service provider.
- Please note that returning your iPad will not automatically cancel your wireless service agreement. Please refer to the terms and conditions of your contract with your wireless service provider.
iPhone Sales Policies
The purchase and use of an iPhone is subject to terms and conditions found at: http://www.apple.com/legal/sla/ and http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/. In addition, by making this purchase, you expressly acknowledge that:
- The Retail Apple Stores sell iPhone for end-user customers only. iPhone may not be purchased for resale.
- Apple reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any order and to limit order quantity. Apple may require additional qualifying information prior to accepting or processing any order.
- iPhone may not be purchased for export outside of Canada, either directly or indirectly.
- Making unauthorized modifications to the software on an iPhone violates the iPhone software license agreement, and the inability to use iPhone due to unauthorized software modifications is not covered under warranty.
- iPhone purchases are limited to two iPhones per customer and must be purchased with a Credit Card, Debit Card or Gift Card.
- iPhone Returns. If you are not fully satisfied with your iPhone purchase, you can return your undamaged iPhone within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. The iPhone must be returned with your original receipt in its original packaging, including any accessories, manuals, and documentation. Please note that returning your iPhone pursuant to this policy will not automatically cancel your wireless service agreement. Please refer to the terms and conditions of your contract with your wireless service provider for more information.
