Apples iMac DV models, with their bundled easy-to-use iMovie video editing software, have been a huge hit with almost one million consumers and educators around the world, said Philip Schiller, Apples vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. Now, iMovie is an instant hit with 150,000 Power Mac G4 and PowerBook customers too. iMovie software lets Mac® users create their own pro-quality movies. Users can import video from a digital video camcorder directly into their FireWire®-enabled iMac DV, iMac DV Special Edition, Power Mac G4 or PowerBook, and rearrange clips and add special effects like cross-dissolves and scrolling titles. Finished iMovies can be stored on the computer, transferred back to a camcorder for viewing on a standard TV or VHS videotape, or shared with friends and family via a personal website built using HomePage, one of Apples iTools which enables users to instantly build their own website hosted by Apple.
