Cheryl Vedoe Joins Apple as Vice President of Education Marketing and SolutionsCUPERTINO, CaliforniaOctober 30, 2000Apple® today announced that Cheryl Vedoe, a former vice president of Apples Education Division, has rejoined the company in the newly created position of vice president of Education Marketing and Solutions, reporting to Apple CEO Steve Jobs. The education market is a top priority for Apple, and we intend to regain market share beginning in 2001, said Steve Jobs, Apples CEO. With her extensive experience in education and technology, Cheryl is a strong addition to Apples education team. I am delighted to once again be part of Apples education efforts, said Vedoe. Previously, Vedoe gained extensive experience in the education market as vice president of Apples Education Division. She has also held a variety of engineering and marketing management positions at Sun Microsystems, Apollo Computer and Digital Equipment. Vedoe holds a bachelor of arts degree in Mathematics from Wheaton College, in Norton, MA, and an MBA from Northeastern University.
